Beautiful location

My wife and I spent a long weekend to enjoy the fall leaves, hiking in the woods, and biking. The house is located right on Pine Creek and next to the bike trail, and has everything needed for a pleasant stay.

Wonderful!

We enjoyed four days at this cozy cottage on Pine Creek. It was the perfect spot to enjoy some bike riding on the rail trail and some fishing while also celebrating our son’s graduation from nearby Lock Haven University.

"Creek House"

Our family loved our time at the "Creek House" as our 3 year old would say. Such a beautiful spot. Most of our time was spent down by the creek or the nearby bike trail. Perfect location for our weekend adventure. Thank you to Roxanne & family for letting us stay at your home.

Beautiful Grounds

Very comfortable home, lots of room everywhere, it just makes you feel at home. the grounds are beautiful with birds everywhere and beautiful flowers. The creek and views are just amazing. Just an overall great visit. Thank you Roxanne!

Family Fishing Trip

We had a really great time getting away for the weekend. The weather wasn’t the best for fishing but we still made the best of it. The house was so charming, you really felt like it was home away from home. We will be back for another trip for sure.

Incredible place!

Better than the pictures! Nice and clean! Very well stocked! One of the prettiest spots on Pine Creek! My wife and I are retired and wanted a nice relaxing long weekend after several busy weeks. This beautiful place was better than we expected! Definitely on our list of places we would love to visit again!

A gorgeous retreat

We fell in love with the area the second that we entered the neighborhood and it only got better from there. The backyard of this house leads to a creek and Mountain View, you just can’t beat it! If you’re looking for an up-scale home, then this one may feel more dated to you, but if you like a homie feeling place that adds to nostalgia with games and VHS tapes, then look no further!

Beautiful river home!!!

We had a pleasant stay on the river. We were looking for an end of summer trip, we were hoping to be able to swim in the river, unfortunately the weather wasn't the best. It was enjoying enough to be able to enjoy the beautiful property from the porch though. We ended up going on several hikes in the area and just spending some quality time with the kids!!! Very cozy home, very comfortable!!!

Extraordinary location

Pine Creek is one of the (relatively) undiscovered and unspoiled places in the country. I live in TN now, and staying in this property is one of the real joys of visiting my hometown. I have been all over Pine Creek from one end to the other. Regarding the water itself, this spot is one of the very best in the Creek. There aren't many 10' deep swimming holes left and there is one right in front of the house (although there is also shallow water for those who prefer it). The photos on the listing don't do the outside of the house justice. It's bigger than it seems from the photos and is nicely maintained and landscape. The community is small and every property is immaculate. Trees, bushes, etc make the property very private. Another benefit of the location is that it is in a prime location on the Creek, but it isn't far from nearby towns. I can't wait to get back.

Eastern States 100 Recovery Retreat

Came to the Pine Creek area to run the Eastern States 100 and this house was great for our base camp and especially for relaxing and recovering after the race. The back yard space was beautiful with easy access to Pine Creek. Sipping coffee on the dock and sun porch and soaking in the creek in the afternoon was perfect! The large common room was nicely furnished and allowed the whole group to gather and share stories from the long weekend. Would stay here again for sure!

Great location, creek in the back was a great place to cool off during the 90 degree temps we had during our stay. House did not have air conditioning, only a window unit in master bedroom. Grill outside was nice, used it often to cook. Only issue we had was the floor when you walk in the front door feels like a trampoline, it wasn't very solid. Overall it was good, and would probably stay again. We were there for little League World Series week.

We mostly used this as a place to sleep while at an event nearby. The neighborhood is beautiful and the views from the house were fantastic. We took a walk around the yard and stream access and noted it would be a great place to stay for a longer time just to enjoy the views and bring kayaks.My only concern is that the floor just inside the front door is uneven and has a thick carpet pad that is either causing or attempting to smooth the unevenness. For anyone that is unsteady on their feet it could be a tripping hazard. That said I would not personally hesitate to stay here again in the future but there are people I would not stay here with for that reason.
