I've stayed in Lapalosa frequently over the years because I really like the place. However, this last time the bathroom was inconvenient. Water leaked out of the shower door and covered the bathroom floor. This is both uncomfortable (having to stand on a wet bathroom floor afterwards) and hazardous (might slip in slightly soapy water on floor). The rest was fine.

It's a lovely hotel actually - nice gardens and little play area for kids and a pool. Only stayed one night for a family do but nothing to complain about. Maybe a little tlc would improve it but lovely, quiet area.
The facilities are great, rooms spacious and very well equipped. Just the wifi set up was strange where you were limited to daily use and had to get a new voucher daily. For the rest, absolutely superb. Close to motorways, Gautrain, shopping centres and restaurants.
Easy going and wonderful.. Excellent food available at choice and whenever...

Nice hotel, can be improved.
Hotel was OK. But I did not get the room type I booked. Double bed was so small only good for one adult. There are steps in the bathroom leading up to the shower, almost slipped and fell because the surface is slippery when wet.
We enjoyed our stay a lot. The Lodge has a tropical jungle feel about it. You will never guess that you are in the middle of a residential area - the decor is tasteful and the rooms comfortable - they go the extra mile with the complimentary stuff in the room. My husband has mobility issues and the receptionist went out of her way to find us a suitable room as the original one had a big step that he could not manage. When arriving you get the feeling that you are entering a secret magic forest.

Safe secure hotel
Birds were very noisy but you get used to them! Family room a bit small for family with teenagers. Should have booked 2 rooms.
