"Car can be parked near to entrance. Shared bathroom is functional and clean. Good big pantry dining area. Breakfast was good. Room is sparse with a very tiny sink. But overall price of room is very high for what was offered."

"The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We had a nice view outside our back porch. There was a shared kitchen and dining room. Luckily, we had some leftover pizza with us that we warmed up and ate in the kitchen/dining area. The room was very convenient for visiting Dettifoss."

"We really liked this hotel - clean, modern, nice! The downfall was the bugs, they swarm you when you step out of the car until you walk in the hotel door. We had a door with a small patio but didn’t use it because of the bugs. Other than that room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Great location for exploring but the whole area there has the bug swarms."

"It was a nice place to take refuge after a lot of driving on a rainy day. It used to be a school, it was fun to see the old pictures. The staff was very helpful. It was convenient to have the restaurant right there. Breakfast was also very nice."

"We had a great stay at Dettifoss. The rooms were large and comfortable, and the bathrooms were modern and clean. The kitchen was in good condition and well-equipped for most simple meals; however, it was a bit small for the number of guests that were there. Free coffee and tea was available as well. There was plenty of parking, and the self check-in was easy."

"Large hotel with large rooms ( compared to others in our 15 day trip) . Very convenient to lots of activities ( if you have a car ). Several good restaurants around . Breakfast area was large so not crowded at all even with all the tour buses that stop here ."
