Cabin was cozy, clean, and cute as expected from the pictures! This was my first time booking so I was a little nervous, and host was very responsive and welcoming - such an added bonus and level of comfort when you're in charge of organizing!Hot tub, bonfire pit, and record player were all a hit during this girls stay - we even got custom sweatshirts to memorialize our stay!! Thank you, Tasha!!!

I grew up here!

Attending family reunion in the Trail of Tears State Forest which was very close by. I grew up only a few miles from there too. BEAUTIFUL location and lots of room! Can't think of any amenities that it did NOT have! Owners were close and very nice people. I hope to stay there again!

Family connection at the Lake

Wonderful property, clean, beautifully decorated.All the basics for light cooking. We checked all the boxes, hiking, wine trail, shopping, relaxed, caught up, played board games and listened to some great vinyl in the evenings.

We loved the place! You have to stay in this very unique home with plenty of space and lots to do without leaving the property. We could have sat on the deck all day just enjoying the quiet. We will definitely book again in the future.

Romantic and relaxing

The property and host are amazing. They have great communication and a beautiful home. We got to meet Burrito and enjoy the rainy season at a wonderful location. An amazing place for a romantic getaway or family time.

Home away from home

Loved this unique cottage right off a private lake! We loved the quiet and peaceful backyard with firepit and hot tub. Our hosts were so easy to communicate with and very gracious with their home. You can tell they have taken a lot of time to make it a wonderful and eclectic spot to spend a relaxing weekend.

Short getaway

Short 2 night trip to hit festivals, local bars and restaurants and breweries. Nice place, we had fun and it was close to hiking and several fall activities.

Wonderful property, wonderful hosts!

My wife and I and our five year-old son were fortunate enough to stay at this cabin for a couple days while on spring break. To say that the cabin was perfect and the hosts were gracious and accommodating would be an understatement. They went out of their way to make sure our son felt welcome on their property. Burrito the burro was an absolute delight. The cabin is super close to many great hiking/exploration spots in Shawnee National Forest. Our two days went by super fast and we’re already looking forward to returning. Thanks folks!

The property is serene, eclectic, comfortable. Communication with Tasha was easy and informative. Coffee out on the deck overlooking the lake was perfection. Bring shampoo/conditioner/body wash as that’s not available. Otherwise, lots of amenities. Would stay here again.

This cabin is amazing. If you're looking for peace, beauty, or esthetics... absolutely wonderful. It was just my girlfriend and i for valentines weekend and the property owner had flowers, chocolates (really good ones!), Hershey kisses (everywhere! Lol) and it was just wonderful in all aspects... and buritto visited us the first night, and s/he was so freaking cool... we were both amazed that s/he didn't smell (at all) and just wanted pets... nuzzled with my girlfriend for a bit, then went about his/ her business... def will reopen to this cabin in the future! just wonderful

Great place but stressful stay

The place was great. I loved the decor, the hot tub and the locations outside. It ended up being stressful though because apparently we missed the fact that if more than 2 people come, you have to pay an additional fee per person per night. We assumed if the place had 3 king beds, it slept at least 6. Apparently not so don’t miss that detail. I guess they were watching us because I woke up Saturday morning to missed calls, voicemails, texts and emails saying if we didn’t pay for the extra people they were going to stop by, it was very stressful and unnerving and we wouldn’t have booked it if we had know how expensive it would be. I’m still trying to recover from the extra money I ended up having to spend in the middle of my “relaxing” girls weekend. I realize it was my fault for not reading the fine print but it really affected our stay. We also walked into the cabin to find a dying mouse on the floor and had to remove it ourselves. There were some wasps inside also. I also had a hard time getting the code for arrival because Vrbo would not load the message with the information.

This was the most beautiful cabin tucked away on private property in the Shawnee forest. We had the most peaceful weekend. Property is just as listed, beautifully decorated, and owners were so kind and responsive!
