"Our room was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast had lots of options. We had a very short walk to see amazing fjord views, we also walked to nearby grocery store. Our only negative was the staff member in the back office smoking when we checked in. The whole place smelled of cigarette smoke that evening. Luckily our room was in a separate building."

"Nice room, comfortable but small bed! Room was not especially large but bathroom was a nice size with lovely heated floors! Breakfast was excellent. Beautiful, convenient location and a gorgeous historic hotel. Would definitely stay again if I return to Flåm."

We found Annie is not just a hotel receptionist, she is your local concierge and transportation guru wrapped with a friendly attitude! When you need to get anywhere, Annie show you the map and draw the key points, ensuring your time outside hotel is as smooth as possible. We enjoyed our stay!"

"Undeniably a gorgeous location! Communication was a problem but only at 1st. The Expedia message did not work. You have to use WhatsApp to contact them about the door code. Parking is scary if other cars are there. It's a tight squeeze to go anywhere in Undredal though. It's a one-way road, in and out. I will never forget that view though! It was definitely worth the sketchy drive!"

"Staying in this incredible home in Finnabotn was the highlight of our Norway vacation. This "secret" branch of the Sognefjord offers a truly authentic, off-the-grid experience. There is no road access so we rented a boat—the only way to get here—through Vik Adventures and the journey itself was part of the adventure, a scenic 25 to 45-minute ride on the fjord from Vikøyri, depending on conditions.The home itself is a quiet, rustic retreat with some modern updates, preserved to maintain its historical features as part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The scenery is absolutely stunning, with enormous waterfalls serving as a backdrop. We spent our time exploring the area, hiking to the top of the mountain where the waterfalls begin, and enjoying the wild berries. We boated to Balestrand for dinner one night. Every evening, we'd sit on the dock listening to the sounds of the falls. This is a perfect escape for anyone looking for an authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience. NOTE: you need to pack your groceries, as there are no stores nearby!"
