Cons: The listing stated that the property offered air conditioning, but the cooling unit was considered a "swamp cooler," which is not a refrigerated air system as we had expected. There were A LOT of flies inside the living space. We moved a curtain, and at least 25 flew out. It was annoying!! The kitchen wasn't very clean, and there was trash in the driveway upon our arrival. At over 350 a night, this unit was not a good value for us.Pros: The host was very easy to communicate with. The host was helpful and responded promptly. It was great to have a place to stay in Joshua Tree while we visited the national park as a family. The property is easily accessible and well-located. Our family would be eager to stay there again if the costs were different.
