the cottage is nestled in a rainforest, surrounded by the lush beauty of nature. While the hosts make efforts to clear away cobwebs, animal and bird droppings, as well as leaves and debris before guests arrive, they kindly ask guests to understand that the cottage is situated in the habitat of these creatures. Therefore, it's natural for them to rebuild their webs and nests. Appreciating this delicate balance between human habitation and the natural environment adds to the charm of the stay.

Perfect get away spot.

This was a great cabin and had everything needed for a weekend getaway. The only thing was the floors needed to be vacuum better than they were.

Weekend get away

I’m giving this a 3 star because of the bed, not comfortable at all and every time your turned over it was so loud. They listed they had a drip coffee maker but there was no basket and yes we did check every drawer. The key pad on the door the numbers are all worn off making it difficult to punch in your code. The fire pit needs to be replaced along with the frying pans that are all warped.

Handsome dans are awesome-Tilton Hilton not so much.

We checked in and I was so disappointed. The photos were not up to date. The place smelled like a musty old dog bed- even though the place was clean. There are holes in the patio furniture from cigarettes and the plastic Adirondack chairs were all broken. The couch is not a true pull out bed, but we made it work. The owners don't seem to care about their guests. I emailed my concerns to Handsome dans and Ken came to check out the situation immediately, the next day we had new patio chairs and an airfreshner. If you do stay here, Bring your own crab pots/utensils/bedding/blankets/extra towels/camping chairs. I have stayed in these accommodations before and this one can’t compare to the others. I won’t be staying here again, but look forward to booking through handsome dans for our annual fishing adventure.

Cozy but dated

Overall good stay and nothing major was wrong but there were enough minor inconveniences to take away from the stay. Understandably it is fall however when we entered the unit was so cold we could see our breath. The unit was not cleaned, the entry way mat was dirty and there was debris on the floor. The kitchen was not what we would consider well equipped with condiments past their expiry date in the fridge, no oil or non stick spray to appropriately use the cookware provided creating a bit more work for us when cooking. The previous occupants also left their recycling and compost in the unit which was unpleasant, the compost had soaked through the bag. We did clean this and leave the compost bin soaking in warm soapy water. Would consider staying again but certainly not in this particular unit

Very clean and nice quiet place to relax.

The only complaint that I have about my stay was the lack of cutlery. There was only about 4 of 5 usable forks but other than that the cabin was well stocked.
