"Mark is the consummate host -ready and willing not only to help with your stay at Riverhouse, but also to help with your arrangements for activities in the area. We LOVED what we called our “treehouse” as the view out the windows was of beautiful green trees, plants, colorful flowers, etc. We found all things we needed in the kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms. Clean, soft linens on the comfortable beds. For those who haven’t been to Hawaii in recent years, bring ear plugs for night sleeping as the roosters all over the island are avid crowers! In other respects, this couldn’t be a more peaceful place to be."

"A beautiful home and location with a great view up a valley and to the mountains. It felt like you were in a treehouse surrounded by tropical delight. Nice location on north side of the island convenient to many beeches and Hanalei. I really hate to say anything negative but a big downside were many neighborhood dogs barking all the time. It was VERY loud up on the lovely lanai and we were not able to enjoy it."

"We had high expectations for our vacation and the property. We underestimated the experience. The house, the property, the location: all 5 stars. This was a vacation with our three adult children and their partners. Everyone was mesmerized by the experience. We cooked breakfasts and many dinners. They kitchen lacked nothing. We grilled fish from the local market. We dined listening to the ocean's waves. From hiking the nearby park to snorkeling the many beaches to a costal boat trip, there are so many activities to spend your days. This is the premier location on the island. In short, we loved our time here"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is ocean front and the views from the home are magical. I am a repeat visitor and the view never disappoints. While not new, the house is comfortable, functional and clean. We had 6 people and were short on towels, which the management company quickly rectified. Only thing I wish they had was body wash in the showers instead of bar soap and possibly more clothes soap for washing towels. Otherwise stay couldn’t be more perfect."

"Our whole Kauai experience was spectacular! This home, the Kalalau trail, the beaches, sunsets, the Slow-Yourself-Down one-lane bridges vibe, and the weather. We felt blessed! Quaint little Hanalei was a sweet spot for our 18 year old daughter. Ahh, and the shave ice!! We loved reading everyone's reviews for this home during the year we waited for this dream trip to come true. Found everything just as described, very comfortable and relaxing. Wish we could have stayed for a long, long time! Thankyou for sharing your home! "

"We thoroughly enjoyed eight days perched right on the north coast of Kauai in this home. It is spacious, well-equipped, clean, and pleasant with terrific ocean views. We could see the Kauai sunsets from the deck. Waves crashed on the reef right below us. The property managers communicated superbly. A few things are worth knowing. The pool looks like a swimming pool on VRBO but, as correctly described in the home, it's a "dipping" pool, small and only 4 feet deep. I would describe it as a water feature. (The lotus flower nearby is beautiful.) The beach outside is narrow and challenging for walking due to deep sand, rocks, and fallen trees. You can get through, but you may not do it daily. Finally--and this should be obvious from a map--it's 15 minutes of beautiful, serpentine driving to the stores, beach, and restaurants of Hanalei. NOTE: Access to the Haena coastline and Ke'e Beach are restricted. Go to "GoHaena" well in advance to obtain permits."

"At the Tiki Hut you feel like you have really escaped from your ordinary life. The gardens are beautiful and tranquil, filled with birds, tropical flowers, green geckos and anoles. The living room lanai is a serene start to the day with morning coffee and the bedroom lanai and hot tub a perfect, relaxing bookend to each day. It is perfectly situated by Tunnels Beach near the end of the north shore road but close enough to Hanalei and Princeville for dinners out and exploring. The Tiki Hut has everything someone would need and more, for cooking, relaxing, hiking and beach days. I don’t want to go into detail so you can be as surprised as I was at Toni’s attention to every detail. Toni is a lovely person and has a genuine desire to make every visitor’s experience as perfect as possible. Her sweet dog Samson would greet us daily and spend relaxing times with us on the lanai. We are already scheduling our calendars to return next year. "
