The reason for the review and # of stars is mostly due to the lack of communication ahead of our stay - it’s very common for hotels to send a message ahead of the stay; we didn’t hear anything from the hotel, and then when we arrived they appeared surprised to receive us. "Cabins are rustic, spacious and very lovely. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Food was very good, especially the chicken springrolls. I didn’t use the pool but people I was with did and they loved it. It’s a great place to get away from it all. Bring a book or two! The last few km of road to get there is terrible so plan on one trip in and one trip out when you leave. "

Our butler was Menuka and he was wonderful, helpful, and kind. We stayed on the property for the most part and chose to do all of our meals there because we liked the food and the convenience. It is a very small property and quiet so if you are really interested in disconnecting, this is a good choice....
