It was awfully packed over the full moon weekend (would not recommend visiting during this period)! This pavilion-like structure at the front Paththirippuwa, or Octagon. It is a symbol of identity in Kandyan Architecture. In the olden days, the king would stand there to address his citizens who were gathered in front of him. The golden roof behind stands over the Buddha tooth relic that this temple is famous for. This is very closer to the Dalada Maligawa. That is my Pro side. However, there is no much facilities such as dinning etc.

Solo visitor

One day before my Stay the hotel said that they do not have a reservation for me and I was ask to look for alternate place to stay. I made a temp booking with another hotel and went to the hotel on 27th with a copy of my booking. They gave me a room thereafter. I forwarded a copy of my booking confirmation and requested them to confirm before I went but no confirmation received.
