It was awfully packed over the full moon weekend (would not recommend visiting during this period)! This pavilion-like structure at the front Paththirippuwa, or Octagon. It is a symbol of identity in Kandyan Architecture. In the olden days, the king would stand there to address his citizens who were gathered in front of him. The golden roof behind stands over the Buddha tooth relic that this temple is famous for. 1泊2日で利用しました。ホテルというよりは、ペンションに近いです。 文字通りアットホームで、恐らくオーナーのお母さん、スタッフ皆親切でした。 ちょっと坂を下りますが、キャンディ湖やその周辺の観光地も歩いて行けます。(夜は道が暗くなるので、トゥクトゥク使った方がいいかと思います。我々は歩きましたが) 高級リゾートとは違ってプールとSPAもないですが、居心地の良い宿です。
