The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the hall we were on was very quiet. Was a little disappointed in the breakfast, but all in all great stay. Will stay again when we need to be that close to the Research Hospital.

This hotel is ok. It's in a sketchy area, or at least it feels that way. That is not the staff's fault; they were absolutely wonderful. They worked with us, were friendly, helped us with whatever we needed, and were understanding of our concerns and needs. The rooms were just ok as well, not great, but not nasty. It was really the staff that made our stay memorable.

Hotel was overall okay for a one night stay. Staff was very friendly. Be wary that property smells like smoke/weed. Overall, hotel was quiet for a weekday. Breakfast was very limited. if you are looking for a pet friendly hotel- this is not your place as they no longer accept pets as of january 2025.

In a daze in Kansas City

sink leaked badly. blinds broken. changed rooms. not very clean. carpet damp from earlier cleaning. this sink barely trickled. no shower curtain. TV remote batteries died. Key card did not work on second day. Staff was friendly and helpful, but the issues seemed endless.

I was very skeptical when I arrived at the hotel as the appearance was less than inviting. The building requires maintenance. I was told I needed to put up a $100 cash deposit, I was flabbergasted. Never have I experienced that before in all my years of travel. (I am in my 70's.) Fortunately, and to my surprise, the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nothing but carbs. I have enough of my own food to have a healthy breakfast.

Pretty Scary

The desk staff were really nice and friendly, so the immediate shady aspect of the hotel was a bit alleviated. The room looked clean and the bed was comfortable. Our non smoking room had the overwhelming smell of stale cigarettes, probably from the several butts stuffed into the sink drain. Photos are provided of the hair dryer and vent fan which was incredibly noisy. We were just staying the night and decided that we had a concert to get to and we didn’t want to spend time looking for somewhere else. We did not stay for breakfast.

Definitely not up to Days Inn standards

Arrived to check in, was informed there is a $100 cash only deposit per night. Clerk was very polite and friendly. Room was clean, only one towel, no wash cloths, no coffee pot, no phone. A/C barely worked. We would not recommend!

Lady that checked me in let me know there was a mistake with rooms and the one I reserved was unavailable because someone had already booked it. She gave me a bigger room and prorated my reservation for the inconvenience. Very polite, funny and helpful. I am staying there again soon.

Do not book unless desperate

The hotel was not at all as it was advertised. I booked a 2 queen non-smoking room. The room reeked of smoke. Every blanket was covered in burn holes. The shower hadn't been cleaned and still had someones hair on the shower wall. Ceiling pant was falling off. Window seal was broken. Microwave had been through WWII. There were ants coming from God knows where. Service was decent. Breakfast wasn't that great, but the waffles were good.

Hotel experience

I am so disappointed and thankful at the same time. Check in was great the light skinned lady with curly hair helped out. I originally booked a smoking room and once I arrived at the hotel she informed me that the hotel was under renovation and that all smoking rooms were no longer available. That was cool. Then after staying a day or so, we discover roaches... wowzer.... so i go to the front desk. And yes i took pictures and explain my concern, well this worker she said its nothing she can do but leave the manager a note for the morning. Okay whatever but she could have switched me rooms but i agreed to wait until the morning. So check out time i go to the desk and express my concern not realizing the manager was standing there also just to say well we have been looking for another exterminator company because the one they have had for 11 months or years (i cant recall the exact time frame) isn't working. Bananas.... We just have to do better and care as a whole

Women at the front desk are the saving factor and the only reason for my 2-stars. I came in about 11pm, they were understanding and made check in easy. When booking this reservation, reviews were set to most relevant, not most recent. Thats where I MESSED UP! Reviews were.... unfortunately misleading. DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY. Dead bugs. Used, stiff washrag hung in the shower. A ton of hair and clearly hasnt been cleaned, swept, mopped, or maintained in a long time. Random man came banging on my door about 12 am. There is a $100 cash deposit.

The building has chunks of siding missing on outside. Our room was covered in hair- counters floors, toilet etc, even found long pieces between the sheets. There were a number of people who appeared to live in the hotel, including at least 1 employee. Broke down cars skattered in the parking lot. Multiple people had dogs with them and did not clean up after them. We have stayed at this hotel in the past about 2 yrs ago but its gone downhill badly. SAM - employee on duty when we checked in- was wonderful. We booked a 2 queen room thru expedia, she saw this and informed us they didnt have those but flund 2 rooms next to each other we could split our family of 6 into and didnt charge us for the additional room. As for the hair- we were able to wipe all the surfaces down to get rid of it and were able to proceed with our stay.
