Great quiet place

Great place to stay. It’s close to the city but it feels like your out in the country. It’s one of our favorite places to stay for the weekend.

Quiet seclusion

The place was very nice and clean. Isolated and sereny. Would recommend and stay here again. If you plan on exploring the property bring tick spray and long clothes.

Wonderful secluded getaway

We could not have asked for a better stay at Kristen's secluded Barndo! Property was beautiful with many activities to keep the group occupied. Short drive to the city and overall a perfect location. Clean, cozy, and already looking forward to booking our next visit!

Great Place to Stay

The place was cute and had a spacious kitchen with everything we needed to make meals. There was a large garage that had fun games to play. There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep. The fire pit was also a highlight. There also was a nice walking trail to take the dog on walks. It was secluded but also close enough to KC to easily take in a Chiefs game!

Beautiful, peaceful location

Perfect place for us, with our 6 kids to stay! Plenty of room to run and be kids, but still plenty nice enough for our teens to want to stay! Plenty of indoor play area where they could really get moving, beautiful fire pit and porch area. Really let the adults relax and worry less, but we also liked that it was still pretty close to town! Would definitely stay again! Beautiful all around!

Fun getaway

Loved this place!! So spacious and private. Stayed 2 nights and will definitely stay again next time we do a multiple overnighter in KC. Didn't interact with the property managers because we didn't have to. Everything was provided and very accommodating and had everything we needed!!

Relaxing

Very relaxing, away from town but close enough to go eat and get supplies. Our granddaughter loved the game area when she would visit. The weather was rainy and it definitely made us want to sleep in and then lounge with a hot cup of coffee. There was a problem with the WiFi when we first arrived and Kristen got it resolved very quickly. We enjoyed our stay!

Great place to relax with dogs.

We were visiting for a family wedding in the area. There were six adults and two dogs. We really enjoyed the space of the property, all the natural areas, the cleanliness and it was well equipped for anything we needed. It was also a very quiet location. Our kids enjoyed the games in the garage on the day that it was raining. Our only issue was that the Internet was very spotty. Also, tall adults need to be careful about the headspace in the upper bedrooms. We will definitely stay here again when we are visiting our newlyweds who live in the area.

Baseball getaway

This is the perfect mix of quiet solitude but so close to everything. Easy to find with the directions. Beautiful outdoor area, the fire pit is solid! Well equipped and comfortable. Kristen is very responsive for any needs. I love everything about this place, we had the best time!

Great lil getaway close to everything Kansas City

Great Property, the Dog loved it the most. The barndo is cute, and the big open space/garage was great for the cold weather and the teens to burn energy and played a few heated badminton and pickle ball games. It was clean and easy to get into. We will be back again.

Beautiful

I hate big cities, but I think I could live here. It is situated perfectly on the property. No ttraffic, no noise other than nature. Owners are very easy to get along with as well. Thanks for letting us enjoy your property.

The Perfect Stay

From the peace and tranquillity of the woods, to the comfortable ambiance of the cabin-themed interior, you could ask for a better place to gather with family and friends. The owners are caring, and prompt with their responses, and provide everything you need for a successful stay. Close proximity to everything the Kansas City metro area has to offer. Country getaway

Beautiful area to visit and a nice place to stay for a few days. Only issue we had was with the internet not always working but we had a large family using it so it could’ve been overworked. Loved the fire pit and the scenery. Beds were comfy and the shower was great! We would love to come back in the fall when leaves are changing!

Peace & Relaxation

This place was PERFECT!!! We had plenty of room, the kitchen was well stocked and roomy, the beds were super comfy, and the fire pit outside was great (although it was very cold when we were there)! Our granddaughter absolutely loved the huge garage/game room!!! She took her roller skates and skated constantly! Since our son lives about 30 mins away I'm sure we will stay there again!! Absolutely loved this place!

"staycation" with out-of-town family

We booked this beautiful property to host my sister and her family while they were in town so we could have a staycation with them. We had a brilliant time relaxing, making smores, and exploring KC and Blue Springs. Our hidden gem find was Blue Springs Lake Beach to cool off, great find! The half that was garage had plenty of games for the kids to play, and they enjoyed their "giant fort." A great gem to enjoy nature, with the ability to enjoy all the city offers close by.

Daughter’s Wedding

Douse was absolutely lovely and very clean and tidy. It was a great escape from the city. My daughters wedding venue was close by and this was so convenient for us to stay here and get ready and be there for the ceremony on time. I would definitely love to stay here again just to get away from the city and have a family weekend. The family absolutely adored the fire pit and spending time outside talking about the wedding the day after. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Family reunion

We're 2 branches of the family half from WI half from AZ. Picked KC because it's kinda halfway. The house was perfect for our needs. The weather didn't cooperate, but that's life. The location was ideal, but i don't think we could have done it without a GPS. We saw deer and rabbits on the property. I would definitely recommend staying here

Family getaway

This property is beautiful. The home was clean and well stocked with anything you might need. The garage was great for letting everyone burn off energy. Make sure you bring tick spray and check for ticks every time you go outside. It's a wooded area so you gotta expect them but they are extra bad.

Great Place to Stay

The property was as described. We were able to explore the land and have a few campfires. Our kids had a ton of fun. The barndo was gorgeous inside. The ticks are still bad, so bring protection. I drove into downtown Kansas City everyday for a conference and that took about 35 minutes. The property is also within about 30 minutes of some prime attractions like Legoland Discovery Center and Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun. It was so HOT during our visit, but the barndo stays cool with the A/C.
