We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying again. Our trip started on a rough note when we arrived late in the evening to find the unit had not been cleaned—dirty beds, no clean towels, leftover food, dirty dishes, etc. Fortunately, our host was extremely responsive and had a cleaning crew on-site quickly. Within about two hours, the unit was cleaned and ready for us. While we appreciated the fast response, some compensation for the inconvenience would have been appreciated, as it disrupted our evening plans and required us to purchase a few additional supplies to make our meal work.
The resort itself is fantastic, and the pool is the standout feature. It's easily one of the best pools in Kauai. Our kids loved the warm pool, the lazy river sections, and waterslides. Beach access is also nice, though it's better for views and wading than for swimming or boogie boarding. The unit is also conveniently located across the street from a grocery store and other shops.
The unit was comfortable and well-suited for a family, with plenty of bathroom space for rinsing off after beach outings. While we'd recommend it, the initial cleaning issue and a few maintenance items—such as loose door handles that fell off, a malfunctioning toilet, and some heavily worn beach gear—kept it from feeling quite like a five-star experience. Still, it was a great stay overall, and we'd happily consider staying here again.
