"The room was cute and had all that we needed!"

"Parking was tight, but there is an overflow lot a half block or so away. We never needed that. We loved the fact that our 7/F room looked directly out beyond the pool and Tiki Bar fire pit onto the ocean. The artwork in the room was to our liking too. The bathroom was well appointed, and the little refrigerator was useful. The lobby was comfortable and attractive. Having stayed in five star hotels with included breakfast, I have to qualify the perfect score on the breakfast, but it was perfectly fine. If you like to walk (a lot) and not only on the beach, treat yourself to the trails at the nearby Carolina Beach NC State Park. Most importantly, we liked the coffee always available in the lobby. Footnote: Restaurants to consider: The Havana, and especially Soul Flavor."

"The floor was sticky and dirty. It seemed like it was washed with very dirty water. The room smelled like rotten shrimp. The bathtub in the adjacent bedroom had a large dirt stain on the bottom. I believe the dirty water from the floor mop bucket was poured in and never properly cleaned out. The shower in this tub did not work, the problem was the plumbing knob. The chairs on the balcony were dirty. The towels and bedding were very clean. "

"The room size was great and everything was very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The view of the river is not as it appears in the listing. It is only partially visible from the balcony on the back side units. It is nice to walk down to the sandy beach and out n the pier. We had a Deluxe room with a kitchen and it was really nice. Location is not far from the downtown area and only 1.5 miles free m the ferry port to Fort Fisher. We will probably go back in the future."

"The staff is always very friendly every time we stay! The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, has a Keurig coffeemaker, a microwave and a small fridge. The retro theme is perfect for the Carolina Beach Olde Time Boardwalk feel of the area. You cannot beat the view! Love the attached restaurant and tiki bar on the pier. There is a pool and they are building another, but we did not use the pool. Will definitely be back as it is our favorite on Carolina Beach!"
