Very Dirty
The property was not clean at all. The window above the kitchen sink was so dirty yoy were unable to see out. The doors and frame were extremely nasty, under the beds and couchs were inexcusable for being so dirty. We went to cook out Thanksgiving meal and the stove and oven was horrific. We spent hours cleaning the kitchen. The refrigerator did not cool so we had to use the one down stairs. The lau dry room was disgusting. The closets were unusable because they were filled with random items just thrown about inside it. The garbage can was half full so it left very little space for us to throw our trash. The outside garbage cans were never emptied, ashtrays were disgusting and had butts in them. I would NOT recommend staying in the spider web infested place. I reported the condition of the home to the owner, however she didnt reply until days later and all she did was make excuses for it. I WOULD NEVER RENT THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN.

This location was perfect for our group of friends to gather from across the state. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit and highly recommend this property to others looking to come out to Cedar Creek. The lake, house and atmosphere will not disappoint!

Lake Fun
The reviews said "dirty", cobwebs and wasps. I was not prepared for what we arrived to. The bedding and linens were clean. However, we had to clean the a/c so it would work properly downstairs; the trash wasnt removed; there was so much "left-behind" stuff, (open food, dirty clothes). My grandboys found "unmentionables" in the breezeway cabinets while looking for outdoor toys. The kayak got much use, as did the grill and fire pit. Both of my grandsons have Cystic Fibrosis, so cleanliness is very important. We spent our first day cleaning with little cleaning tools. No working vacuum (there were 3), no broom and the mop was nasty! There were also local kids who use the yard as a pass thru, even after we closed the side entrance to the yard. We enjoyed our stay, but do not believe that we should be charged a cleaning fee when we arrived to such conditions and left the property cleaner than when we arrived. Lastly, the neighbor (owners son) had annoying little dogs who barked at the fence constantly whenever we were outside at the same time. I expected better for the $$.

Summer Family Get Together
We had an outstanding time. Property owner was outstanding, and easy to communicate with when needed. Plenty of room for 8 adults and 2 teens. The interior of the house is exactly like described. The neighbor peer was no longer there, but the private dock did everything we needed. It was nice having a well-maintained lawn that we could walk around barefoot. The outdoor rec area could use a good spray down. The large smart TV was nice for a movie night to relax. Our family would love to stay here again.

It was not stated that the beach access was as difficult as it was and that it was muddy instead of sandy. We knew the water was going to be low, but not to this point and would have been better to just tell us. It seemed no one had been staying at house in sometime, so outdoor was dirty and dusty. This being said, we had three dogs with us and they had a blast so the things that might have bothered us did not. Great yard - huge house, we did not use the downstairs at all. Very friendly family, we did not need to ask for anything but felt we could if we needed to -

Fun weekend!!!
We had a great time! The other reviews were correct about it being the nicest house in the neighborhood, and the dogs, but it’s just the country. The lake was a little low but that was actually great for our kids! We had a blast floating and swimming. The layout of the house was cool, pics don’t do that justice, the upstairs living area was so nice. We were very happy the porch was partially screened in upstairs, that made a big difference because there are a ton of bugs and spiders. The cobwebs could have used a little more cleaning, but overall, we had an awesome weekend. The house was fully stocked, and we used the smoker which was great. Lots of games and activities made this a great family weekend!! The host was super nice and easy going, her son apparently lives across the road, but he kept to himself so no biggie. All in all, if you don’t mind the country, this is an awesome lakehouse!

The house was as it looks in the photos. It was a little dirty, as in nothing had been wiped down outside and nothing had been dusted inside for quite some time. The linens seemed clean and the house is very spacious. I went for the weekend and we had a great time. I would stay here again.

Directly on lake but not a great area
The owner was super friendly and helpful. You're right on the lake with pretty lake views and a basic dock. House has plenty of room. Nice backyard area. The neighborhood is mostly trailers and run down older homes. There are a lot of dogs roaming free and some fenced, and they like to talk to each other and settle frequent disputes. The roads into the place are rough. The boat ramp nearest is really for small boats. There is a decent public ramp about 10 minutes away. The water around the dock was really too shallow for a boat when we were there.

Weekend getaway
Overall, we had a good stay. As other reviews have said, the pictures are outdated. The pier with the swings is gated off due to it falling apart., but there is a new pier, just no cover or swing/hammock. The neighborhood is not ideal, many dilapidated structures. The rental itself is the best-looking house on the block. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We made use of the ping pong table, darts, and firepit. The sectional in the living room is huge, two people could easily sleep on it. The roads are full of potholes, so be cautious.

Our family had a great time on the lake! The house was great and had a lot to keep our teens entertained. The pictures were a little out dated. You can not get to the swing on the dock, but there were two kayaks on the property that we were able to use which were awesome! Would definitely return. :)

Family weekend mini-vacation
Driving in the neighborhood looked a little rough. Then you get to the house and it's well maintained, huge yard leading out to the lake and the property dock. It has a fire pit, picnic table, multiple tables and chairs and out door bar under the covered patio with ping pong table, dart board, even a deck box full of blow up floats! the smoker/grill was in great shape, even though someone had used it incorrectly and built a fire to BBQ inside the smoker box!, inside the downstairs area had a great wet bar with full fridge, poker table, and lots of games for the whole family. Upstairs the was a VERY well stocked kitchen with all the pots, pans, and utensils we could need. The beds were as described and there was ample space for everyone to spread out and do their own thing, or for the entire family of 10 to gather together and share a meal. The lake itself was clear water and cool temps with a sand bottom off the dock for safe swimming for the kids. This is NOT the Ritz Hotel, this is a great space for a family or small group to have a great relaxing lake stay! We will come back again!

Wallet missing
The cabin was nice, But needed cleaning, the washer leaked, we did have a good time. But my nephew left his wallet with money and gift cards in it. Reached out to the owner, took several tries to get in touch with her. She said she will mail the wallet back, but we never received it. It has been two weeks. They need to exterminate the place.

Perfect property for a family stay or a small gathering.
We were in town for a wedding for our son and 6 of us stayed here and hosted family and friends for dinner one night and drinks the other. Perfect place on the lake, huge lot for several sets of corn hole, ping pong table they provided and darts. The basement along with the backyard was the perfect space to gather with a bar with bar stools, sink, ice maker, full size fridge, poker / game table couch, chairs and 2nd game table. Basement also has a full bathroom. Upstairs is very spacious, open floor plan with the kitchen fully stocked with all settings and pots, pans, double sink with disposal. Bedrooms were nice and master with its own full bathroom. As nice as I tried to paint the picture of our stay it’s still better than I explained. The home and owner was great. We were so happy to be able to host our friends and family in a all adult and small kids get together.

A Dream come true
This house is perfect. It has plenty of space inside and outside to enjoy with the family. The view of the lake is breathtaking. We really love our stay. I highly recommend it. I can't wait to go back...

Nice property but!
House was fairly clean inside , a lot of light bulbs were burned out, her son had food in the refrigerators, laundry room was horrible, clothes on the floor, dryer was filthy dirty. Breezeway was junky, patio had leaves ,a pile of open trash, 2 large pots of ashes from the grill, patio chairs moved to a second patio.

We had a great time. Most everything was clean, the floors, bathrooms, showers were great however there was some very dirty silver wear in the kitchen drawer which really grossed us out. We just washed before using and there was a dirty glass left out as well as some trash left in one of the bathroom trashes and the kitchen trash was half full of trash. Otherwise, it was good. Had a nice and much needed get away together.

This is DEFINITELY an interesting house. There is a LOT of shaded options to sit under (trees, patio, etc). So don't be too worried if weather forecast is blazing-sun. There were plenty of amenities for us to use and the kids to entertain themselves: -Private lake-access & pier are excellent. BEAUTIFUL sunrises -Trees/Covered patios make for nice evening shade -Grill/smoker is available for wood/charcoal (standard tools available) -Kitchen (upstairs) and web bar (downstairs) have PLENTY of party accessories (shot glasses, mugs, etc; if you're into that sort of thing). -Downstairs is aimed at group parties: wetbar, ice-maker, big wooden bar, poker table, nice mud-room/shower, couches, TV/cable, ping-pong (outside) -Upstairs has bedrooms and main kitchen with TV living area. -Several patio sitting areas are available/comfortable inside & out. -Kayaks & paddleboard (with life jackets) are available on-site for no extra charge. -TVs are nice and decently big (with HDMI ports if you want to connect your own laptop/Roku/Chromecast/Gaming-console. -A/C can get nice and cold (even on hottest day of the year) -wifi is fast Bathrooms are pretty standard/nice, but the downstairs shower is AMAZING with heavy-flow/hot/two-headed rain shower. We had a queue lining up for that shower.

House is extremely nice. Had all amenities listed and was very spacious. However, neighbors are a bit instructive such as knocking on the door asking to use restroom. Also had an incident of a neighbor taking a piece of property resulting in the police being called.

Short family getaway
We had a great time at the property, it was clean nice. Lots to do, washers, darts, kayaks, poker, swim. Only two negatives to the stay - 1 the yard states it's fenced for pets and it was not, no big deal for us as our dogs are well trained and stayed close but might be for others; 2 there was a house being moved in on our 3rd day there which necessitated closing the road for several hours, there was no warning to us and we ended up missing our boat rental because we couldn't get out, would have been nice to have been informed about that in advance so we could park a car up the road.

Cedar Creek Lake Vacation
Overall, we had a great time at the house. The location: The house is right on the lake providing great views and swimming. The area around the house is not so great. The roads are narrow and have some large potholes. The surrounding houses are mostly mobile homes in need of repair. The house: the main house was nice - it was clean and well stocked and the layout worked well for a large group. With the exception of the master bed, which was very comfortable, there were some complaints about the other beds being pretty uncomfortable, particularly the bunk beds. The outside areas were plentiful but could use a good cleaning. The patios needed to be swept and the outdoor furniture, which there was a lot of, needed a good washing. In the description, it said the yard was fenced on 3 sides and open to the lake. In reality, it is fenced on two and a half sides. It is not a fenced yard and your pet can easily get out of the yard unless they are leashed. There is a nice washer and dryer available for use but the laundry room was a mess. All things considered, I would give it 3 1/2 - 4 stars.

We enjoyed our family time, but were greatly disappointed in several things regarding the property. Dishwasher was broken, downstairs refrigerator did not have knob to adjust the temperature and was set to “off.”. The pier with the swing as shown in the pictures was falling apart, in fact had a ladder lying down to use as flooring. Also, the neighborhood was frightening and we found several roaches in the house. We won’t be back to this property.

Cute house but oh that barking dog!
We booked this house at the last minute hoping to have a relaxing escape from quarantine. It wasn't very expensive and our expectations matched the price. Overall we thought the house was nice. It had plenty of dishes and kitchen items and bath towels which is a big plus. The view of the lake is nice and the kids even caught a couple of small fish. The house was clean with two refrigerators, an ice machine and enough bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us. The owner met us at the property to show us around with no mask or social distancing. We are from a big metropolitan area so we were more worried about her than us. Her family lives in the neighborhood which for many is a good thing just in case you need anything. We prefer privacy and were looking for some quiet peaceful family time. We never had a key and assume others know the code on the lock. Her adult son from next door at one point came in the downstairs area and scared our little boy who was the only one in the house while we were in the yard. It was weird, but when I called, the owner said he was never there. Not our idea of peaceful. Between the barking dog next door (intermittently all day and all night) and the hundred upon hundreds of flies, the relaxation didn't exactly happen. Perhaps trash cans with tight lids would help, but the flies were swarming before we ever got out a crumb of food. Eating outside is not an option and inside we had to guard our food carefully while someone else swatted flies. If the flies and the dog were handled, this would be a nice inexpensive rental. Although it wasn't the relaxing trip we planned, we did enjoy the lake and the fire pit and the owner seems very nice.

Wonderful week!
My family and I had a great time at the lake house. The backyard is amazing and the kids played in the lake all day. The only negative of the trip was the neighbors dogs barked all night. We reported this to Deborah and she tried to make contact with the owner of the dogs.

Lake vacation at its best!
Our entire family of 14 plus 2 dogs had the best time ever. Great swimming and fishing. Home is equipped with all the comforts of home plus!! The kayaks there , added to ours....allowed everyone ample options for entertainment. We enjoyed every moment!
