"The property was clean but obviously an older property with dated furnishings and carpet. Only one of the lamps was plugged in and wall outlet was hard to get to. Our key card did not work and had to go to the desk and get another. The replacement card only worked once when wife went to get something from car. When returning to the room after breakfast, the replacement card did not work a second time. Lucky there was a repairman on the floor who let us back into our room."

"The location was amazing. 5 minute drive to restaurants and tons of shopping. Staff was awesome. We only had coffee for breakfast but everyone seemed to enjoy the selections. This will definitely be our new go to hotel when staying in the area. "

"No parking lot was full even the handicap spots. The air conditioner was so noisey we couldnt even sleep and if you turned it off it got too hot."

"Not as new as photos made it look - at all. This is an old motel. Also, not as large as pictures. Overall, pretty run down for the Best Western name. Not what I expected from Best Western - the reason I trusted it. More in line with an outdated Super 8. The only part I would give 5 star is the back lit vanity mirror which was spotless too. Tub had no traction and was super slick. Shower curtain was white and a little dingy. Bedding was white and looked old and dingy. The pillows on the king bed were about 12" square (2 per person). King beds need king pillows - or at least 4 standard minimum. These tiny pillows were crazy. Roll over, and you fall off the pillow. Door had an old rusted chain security lock. Carpet was blue and hid the dirt but had a dirty "feel" to it. No "do not disturb" sign. I noticed one person had put a home-made sticker on their door for that. Outside: 2-story "motel". Concrete cracked and stained. Everything needs a good pressure wash and things in general need an update that just paint won't fix. Paid $350 per night for a normally $80 room (about what its worth) because of special event weekend every month they jack up the prices. At check-in, although friendly, they said if you want more towels, etc. you have to come get them because "we are short staffed"."

"This property was exactly what we needed for a brief getaway trom the city. Every detail included in this lake home was thoughtful, from the toiletries provided in both showers to the snacks in the kitchen. Our crew of four (including one tall teenage boy) had space to sleep comfortably while also having separate spaces for privacy. The two bathrooms were a huge plus! Our dog especially loved chasing squirrels in the fenced-in backyard -- such a wonderful bonus for those traveling with pets. The neighborhood is quiet and walkable.One slight negative about our stay was the bed in the primary bedroom. My hubby and I kept rolling toward the middle of the mattress as the nights went on. Also, the water levels out back were too low to make use of the provided kayaks. However, this is not something the homeowners have any control over. These tiny details were easily overlooked because everything else was simply wonderful! A hidden gem is the brand new pickleball courts within a five-minute drive. Built by the city of Tool, these pristine courts were nearly empty during the weekdays. They are open to the public and also have lights for nightime play. Weekends were another story as far as crowds, but having access to these courts nearby is a HUGE plus for this property. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. It is a wonderful value for everything that you get!"
