Wonderful Experience
Came to the area to see the solar eclipse, and decided to stay at this property on Cedar Creek Lake. The house was a perfect fit for the four of us adults and two small dogs. The big back porch has an amazing lake view, and the location—only an hour from Dallas—enabled us to enjoy lake life and go into town when we wanted to. The house was clean and comfortable, and the host made sure our experience was memorable. A great stay!

Birthday trip
We booked this lake house for my daughter’s 13th birthday. Laura was friendly and great to communicate with! The house was beautiful and so peaceful. My daughter , myself, and her friends really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely book again!!

Great Gathering Space
The open living space in this home along with the large dining table and long bar was a perfect set up for our group to gather round while scrapbooking, eating and visiting! Plenty of beds as well!

Wonderful stay
We really enjoyed our stay. The view was great and even though it was a little chilly we spent a lot of time on the deck looking at the lake. We also had a few nights outside around the firepit looking at the stars. The wife loved the kitchen as we were there during the week of Thanksgiving. It really was a great place to spend our holiday.

Lovely Lake Home!
Another wonderful stay here! Big fenced in yard is a huge plus for "the girls". Laura was easy to communicate with when questions arose. Easy access to grocery store and restaurants. Planning our next stay already!

Peaceful an Relaxing
This is a lovely house on Cedar Creek Lake. Very airy and bright with tasteful decor throughout. It is extremely well equipped with lots of extras available. Expansive covered porch with lots of seating available for sitting and enjoying the view of the lake with a coffee or glass of wine. The bird life is in abundance for those who enjoy them. (The sighting of a Bald Eagle made my holiday). The fenced yard was perfect to keep our dogs safe and confined. Our host Laura has thought of everything and was very attentive and answered any questions very quickly.

Family friendly lakeside stay
We had an amazing stay at this lake house. The house was very clean. The living area was perfect for our large family and the kitchen was well stocked. We loved drinking our coffee on the porch and enjoying the lake. The water level was quite low, but it made it so we had a beach area. The fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. The owner was very responsive to all communication.

Perfect Family Vacation Spot!
We had such a great time at this beautiful home, and Laura the host made getting there and checking in so easy. This was our first family vacation with a toddler and a baby, we went with our parents also and it was just enough space for everyone and had a great cozy feel. The back porch is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view!!! We were also able to fish right off the back gate, which my toddler loved and was a great bonus being right on the lake. Can’t wait to go back!!!

Relaxing Lake House
The house was what we expected from the VRBO details. The beds are HARD. Brookshire's is 6 minutes away and the boys in our group enjoyed the local donut shop, Chili's, and Mexican restaurant. The dock is maybe 6X6. My husband said he understood this from the pictures, I did not. Pulling water toys (kayaks, lilly pads, floats) up the stairs, onto the dock, and then to the grass after every use was ridiculous. Every other dock on the lake is huge in comparison and easy to lift things onto the dock for the next use. Very little space on the dock also made fishing from it tough. No anchors are provided either...make sure you have 1-2. They are essential! We enjoyed the stay. Resting on the covered porch and cooking lazy dinners. The fenced yard is a plus with dogs.

Perfect family getaway!
We had the best time at Cedar Creek! The house allowed for the grandparents to watch the grandkids (and big kids) enjoying the lake. The boat dock directly down the street was perfect for daily use. We will definitely be staying again!

Great place on the water!
We had a fantastic time at this home! It is in such a great location on the lake. Close to a grocery store for any last minute items and the little cove that the house sits in so PERFECT for swimming. I was pleasantly surprised the bottom was sandy like a beach! The kids loved the water toy - paddle boarding, lily pad, water guns! Huge thanks for Laura and Dan bringing the lily pad over since the previous one was lost. Really enjoyed being able to bring the doggies. They loved running around the yard. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need, which was really nice! Hope to return sometime in the fall!

Say yes to the porch
Overall the experience was great. The house was furnished well. Could use a few more coffee cups and wine glasses. We loved the back porch when the days got warm enough and listened to water and enjoyed the sunshine.

Perfect way to celebrate the New Year!
This property was perfect for 2 families to celebrate the New Year weekend. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the dishes and cookware we needed, the furniture was extremely comfortable, and the added plus was use of the garage. Exactly as photographed and advertised!

Beautiful Property on Lake
We just stayed over Thanksgiving and had the best time! The lake house is beautiful and the layout was perfect. We brought our own food but the house was more than stocked with everything we needed to cook with. We never ran out of a towel or hot water haha. We played games, enjoyed the view and watched a gorgeous blue heron greet us every morning. It was the perfect getaway and very relaxing!

Relaxing get away
This was a trip planned for my mom who had a rough summer health wise. We wanted a place that had beautiful views and a relaxing vibe. We found exactly what we were looking for in this property. The house was spacious and had Al the amenities you could ask for. The view is the lake from the porch and almost every room of the house was beautiful. We had our two pups with us and they loved being able to run around in the yard. With a grocery store near by we were able to cook all of our meals at home and enjoy our time enjoying the space and the view. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat, I highly recommend this spot!

50 Year Wedding Anniversary Surprise
Some came from Oklahoma and some from Southeast Texas. The place was Fantastic. Lots of fun, laughter, celebration and just family spending time with each other. The house was great. Great property!
We rented this house for a place to stay during family reunion weekend rather than staying in a motel. The home was welcoming, clean, well stocked and very comfortable. The back porch was hard to leave each morning! Even though the lake is low due to lack of rain there is still plenty of water view. This morning a flock of wild duck landed right in front of us for a rest….and in the evening all variety of birds land on the picket fence. The neighborhood was quiet and well maintained. We had a great time and will certainly rent this property again!

This was our second time to stay at this property. The last time was 5 years ago. It had a different owner but it was just as great as the last time we stayed there. Great place for family of all ages to get together
Enjoyed lake, even though it was very low. We had to walk to water and wade out quite a ways to be able to float and swim. Home had everything we needed for the week. Would definitely rent again.

We had a great time!!! The reservoir was very low and so the location of the property lent to mud instead of water to get to the swimming, which also made it very hot water to get in but the view off the porch of the reservoir was beautiful!!!

Great Place to Vacation for the Whole Family!
There are so many positives about this vacation home. To start with Laura B is a wonderful hostess. She has gone above and beyond to make any and all guests feel welcomed and comfortable. Everything described for the lake house is accurate making all age groups happy and comfortable. The beds are comfortable and everyone had a spot. The great room and patio make family activities easy to plan and space to have fun. The laundry is a wonderful bonus. The two bathroom offer variety with a walk-in shower and a jacuzzi tub with shower. The wi-fi and cable were easy to use. The lake with all the nature was so wonderful and relaxing. I will plan to stay again. Thank you Laura and family for everything.

Great Lake Weekend with Family
Great house for a weekend full of activities. Fenced backyard with lake access was perfect for kids and beautiful morning views. The large kitchen island open to the living room created a great environment to for spending time together. Paddle board and Lilly pad enticed the whole group to explore the lake. Minor issue: The master bathroom and bedroom doors did not fully close.

Exactly what we needed
Upon entering the property and walking in to the house, immediately you are welcomed with a view of the lake. Very Inviting ! Clean and airy with open concept in kitchen, living room area ! The large porch was probably one of my favorite features. Laura put so much thought in to every detail for her house guests, from labels, to ice machine, to water toys. i was very impressed with this property and will be planning on returning next year. I highly recommend this as a get away ! My husband was the most relaxed that i have see him in years.

Wonderful getaway
We live in Colorado and our winters can drag on. This home was just the place to go and rejuvenate. We loved it! The home is located in a very quiet neighborhood. The area is heavily treed, a small community with no sidewalks but nice streets with no traffic to take leisurely walks. So we took walks morning and evening. The beds are so comfortable we slept in every morning and then sat on the porch with our coffee and tea watching the birds and listening to the frogs and admiring the lake. The days passed too quickly. We used the paddle board and lily pad that our provided by the owners. The kitchen was well stocked we didn’t need to go buy spices. The owners are so nice they are available when you have questions. It’s a beautiful home. Very clean. Well maintained. We are looking forward to renting it again.

Is This Perfection?
No, but it is darn close! Outstanding experience with the location, layout, amenities, management support, decor, outside birding entertainment for Blue Herons, Giant White Egrets, duck family with 6 babies...Anything we failed to pack, it was supplied. We forgot bug spray (though we never needed it) and found swatters and hornet spray to fight a newbie red wasp nest under the wicker arm of chairs we selected on the veranda. (Beware of these in summer in Texas!). It was a quiet and restful experience with an excellent view of the lake from our porch perch. The internet was spotty the whole time, making use of your wifi dependent toys impossible at times. The TV got only local channels for the most part and Weather Channel. Netflix was an option but a challenge to activate. But it would disappear with the wifi at times for a while. Bring a backup data supply for the devices just in case. We understand this wifi inconsistency is a local issue all over the community without competitive options. That is the only rock in my pocket! Lovely place that we hope to return to soon, backup data and my Kindle in tow, just in case prefection is again...almost!

Easter at the lake
Direct lakeside w/fenced in backyard which was great for our dog. The back covered porch was awesome for morning coffee, reading, or just card games. Lots of room inside as well. Plenty seating& beds.

Perfect waterfront home! Perfect for girl cousin weekend!
Plenty of beds, kitchen had everything you could need. Very quiet area. Fabulous back porch with view of the lake. We never turned the tv on one time! Awesome property!

Complete Relaxation
My mother and I stayed at this lake-house, “Serenity”, for our annual mother-daughter trip. This was probably our 25th or 26th trip together. The main purpose of the trip was to celebrate my birthday, relaxing, and for me to catch up on my writing. I did not get any writing done. I COMPLETELY relaxed the WHOLE time. Fantastic lake views pull at you from sunrise to sunset; you never want to leave the porch. Sometimes, you can catch glimpses of a white heron, ducks, cardinals, and several other birds. There is a birdhouse, that looks like an adobe condo, located on the side of the house, near the guest room. You did not need an alarm clock since the sweet sounds of bird wake you up. The home is designed very well. It is meant to give a feeling of tranquility here. The kitchen is a home cook’s dream. This home can fit a large family, and it was perfect for just the two of us and our 7lb, 15yo Yorkie, Ginger. She loved the yard and house. I highly recommend this home for your next vacation get away.
