65th birthday trip
A well appointed and comfortable boat. Plenty of room for all. Great food and hospitality. As a seasoned boater, I appreciated the professionalism, skills, and teamwork of our two captains. A special diet was handed seamlessly. My request for special consideration so I could fly fish could not have been done better.

Boating the Florida keys
This is a nice boat that has 3 spacious bedrooms. The Captain Kenny has a great sense of humor and knows the keys. It was nice to see places that you could only get to by boat. He was also a guide and has lots of knowledge.His wife/partner Monica was a very good cook and made us comfortable on our cruise! I definitely recommend this stay

Making Memories to Last a Lifetime
This is a very unique opportunity that we cannot recommend enough. Captains Kenny and Monica take care of the plan, food and accommodations, you just sit back and relax and enjoy the ride. It was my husband, two kids (14 &18) and me, and we all enjoyed the balance of peace and chill time with activity. You are living aboard Kenny and Monica's 55’ yacht, and experience the upper Florida Keys. We cruised, fished, swam, floated, paddle boarded, tubed and snorkeled. They prepare the most beautiful, tasty and hearty meals and are gracious and welcoming hosts. They personalized our experience and truly made it special. They are safety conscious as well. This is different than a standard charter experience in a couple ways, some ways include... -flexibility on length (they allow for a shorter cruise than most charters) -they spend time with you, you are floating in their home, that being said Kenny and Monica provide a good balance of privacy and companionship. There was plenty of space aboard for all six of us. -you bring your own liquor, was not a problem (and prob saves you money in the end) All in all, I cannot say enough good things if you're looking for a vacation that is different than the norm and if you enjoy, or are curious about, boat life. Kenny and Monica are a lovely couple who are easy to get to know, and really care about their guests' enjoyment and experience aboard License to Chill.

Experience of a lifetime!
This was the most fun we’ve ever had. Only regret is not booking for one night longer. Our kids (9 and 11) were entertained the entire time- snorkeling, paddle boarding, tubing! Never a dull moment. The food was AMAZING! Custom meals to our families liking. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. This was a trip of a lifetime that we will never forget.

Super crazy fun, exceeded our expectations
I read the glowing reviews before booking our trip. To cut to the chase: the high marks are well-earned. Captain Kenny and Monica craft a brilliantly fun time. My husband, brother and sister-in-law did a two-day cruise and could not stop smiling and grinning. Kenny and Monica made us feel so at home. The meals were perfect; attractively presented and very tasty. The water activities and cruising the coast were massive fun. All of this you will read in other reviews, so I'll state a few cool things that you might not get from the other reviews. 1) First, they really pay attention to what YOU like and adjust accordingly. For example, Monica tweaked the original menu to adapt to some quirks with our Midwestern palates. They could tell we really enjoyed the paddleboarding so they snuck in another excursion the morning we were to depart. And the evenings--oh my. We had background music playing all day. Somehow that morphed into a challenge game of "Name that Tune", then dancing and singing. So, Cap'n Kenny also deserves the title of DJ Kenny. 2) Secondly, there was NO big sargassum seaweed bloom marring our trip. Based on all the scary newspaper stories of its arrival, I was very worried. However, we experienced clear, clean water throughout. All in all, this was a SPECTACULAR trip. I really hope to do it again sometime.

Get Your License....To Chill, NOW!
We had the best time on License To Chill. Captain Kenny & Monica were exceptional host on board their beautiful Yacht! From the first hug in the drive way to the last we were treated like family. Monica out did herself with preparing wonderful snacks, to beautiful dinners. We enjoyed each anchor point. They showed us their favorite stops! Ocean View had an awesome steak, and we are from Iowa-We know good steaks. We swam, snorkled with cool fish. Went fishing and hold the current record of 70 fish in 80 min, with 6 different species of fish! What a happy accident, or was it? 😀 We explored mangroves on paddle boards, so beautiful! We enjoyed watching the dolphins play in the boats wake. We even named their new dinghy! Two experienced captain's on a wonderfully maintained vessel-she is gorgeous! But the best part of our trip was hands down getting to know these wonderful people. We cant wait to host you in Iowa soon!

Amazing experience!
We had the best time aboard License to Chill! Captain Monica and Kenny were the best hosts. They communicated with us regularly before our trip, and answered any questions we had. They are so friendly and did an exceptional job making us feel like part of the Chill family. They had fun floats the kids loved, and paddle boards for us to use. The food was delicious, the beds comfortable and the company was even better :) We were sadly only aboard for a night, and the whole family can’t wait to go back for a longer time!

Captain Kenny and Captain Monica made us feel like we were living the dream. From the time we came aboard until the time we pulled back to the dock, it was such a great vibe. The food was amazing, the accommodations comfortable, the tunes were outstanding and Kenny & Monica went above & beyond to make sure that we had a good time. Spotted several dolphin, a sea turtle and even a pink spoonbill, Caught 29 fish (grunts & snapper) and even kept a few. Due to weather we didn’t get to do many water activities. But that didn’t seem to matter … we had the best time. We plan to go back again and even stay longer. Thank you Captains Kenny and Monica.

Family Vacation
Captain Kenny and Captain Monika went above and beyond to make us feel like family and show us a great time. Crusin, snorkleing, paddleboarding and swimming, for just 2 nights it felt like a week. Incredible value and customized experience!
Captains Kenny and Monica have graciously opened up their home and offered this unique opportunity to participate in their on-board living/cruising lifestyle. We were not originally looking for a boat but the ability to explore the keys while having individualized built-in “excursions”, and most meals, made this vacation so enjoyable, easier to plan, and a great value! Our kids also had a blast and enjoyed some creative surprises from the Captains. These hosts are thoughtful, patient, and truly take pleasure in getting to know their guests. Also, the bay is so calm which made cruising (and sleeping) very comfortable with zero sea sickness. Thanks again to the Captains for helping us create wonderful memories we will have forever! We will def be recommending them to our friends/family and hope to return someday soon!

CHILLIN 4 DAYS
Both Capt. Ken & Capt. Monica were excellent at their jobs, as Hosts and Guides and companions for the 4 day adventure. They taught us to "FARKLE" every night, (it's a great game) Key Largo and Islamorada waters are just great. Our weather was superb; couldn't ask for better. They took us swimming, fishing, snorkeling and Dolphin watching; all of which was a great experience. The meals that were provided were excellent and plentiful both of them are great cooks. Accommodations aboard are adequate clean and bright, but a bit tight; although that's to be expected. We were met at the dock by Ken & Monica and both were extremely friendly and helpful; getting us and our luggage on board. They made us feel as though we knew them for many years. Normally I don't do reviews but in this case I had to tell others about the wonderful experience the 4 of us had on Ken's & Monica's Yacht. Try them, you won't regret it. STOP looking anymore, this was incredible!!
Kenny and Monica were AMAZING! From the ease of booking, getting onto the yacht, and starting our dream vacation they went above and beyond to make this trip once in a lifetime. We did snorkeling, fishing, paddleboarding, paddleboard skiing, dining at waterfront restaurants. The sunrise and sunsets were perfect and we were blessed with great weather. We saw 5 sea turtles, 8 shooting stars, and 2 dolphins that played in the water next to the boat. We had fruit trays, boat cakes, and a plethora of delicious meals. Every day and night we went to a different location, fell asleep to the lapping of the waves on the boat lolling us to sleep. Truly an experience you can get no other way!! Book today, you won't regret it!

7 Days of Sun & Fun Aboard License to Chill !
Captain Ken & Captain Monica were so much fun! This was our second trip. What a way to celebrate my 60th Birthday with my Guy and my Best Friend and her Husband. Ken & Monica showed us what Key West is all about. Good food, drinks & music. We watched the Power Boat Races in Key West on the Water. Their yacht was home away from home. Comfortable, clean and the food was outstanding. This seven day voyage started from Islamorada on the inside to Key West and back to Islamorada on the outside to where we started. A GREAT VOYAGE. YO HO!!!! We will be going again.

We came to dip our toes in the live-aboard life and got hooked!
My husband and I are boat owners in Lake Michigan and have fantasized about a life at sea for years. Finally we decided to make this dream a reality and test it out aboard Captain Kenny and Captain Monica’s License to Chill. We got hooked! Not only did we love getting to know License to Chill and the lifestyle it provides, we also loved getting to know our hosts! Kenny and Monica are wonderful hosts, listeners, and story tellers! Their hospitality was a tremendous gift. My husband and I came away with all of our questions about boat life answered. What we thought we would do years from now, we now want to do asap! If you want a hands on, try before you buy experience, we highly recommend the experience on License to Chill.

Wonderful Adventure!
I highly recommend this cruising vacation!!!! License To Chill, Kenny and Monica provided a great experience. We got to snorkel and paddleboard with them beside us. They went along with us to to show us where to find fish and animals. We saw lots of fish and even a nurse shark! They were wonderful hosts and we had great food and conversation.

The experience of a lifetime!
Capt Kenny and Monica are the most amazing hosts! Truly feels like family and does everything to make you feel comfortable and welcome. The boat is perfect with the best spot to lay in the front to sun bath or star gaze. Since we like to fish Capt Kenny put us in a great spot to throw the line in. The food was prepared with love and right on time. We went for our 10 year wedding anniversary just my wife and I, but now we want to come back and bring the kids. This was a true live aboard experience.

Water you doing -BOOK IT NOW!
What an amazing experience! From the moment we met Kenny and Monica we knew they were special. So welcoming, knowledgeable, and down right fun! The yacht is exceptionally clean and comfortable. We fished, we cruised, we told endless stories and boy did we eat! They taught us a bit about the yachting life and Mark taught Kenny and Monica what a “tire” was. Lol. Amazing Father Daughter Trip
Captain Kenny and Captain Monica were amazing hosts. They embraced their role as hosts, guides, and captains with as much gusto as they did the maintenance of their boat. Their boat is a project of love and pride, it's well maintained and stocked So when you step into their home, you feel like you are a family friend there to stay for a few days. Captain Monica took great care to follow any dietary needs. Both took turns making meals and the food was excellent, healthy, and fresh! Experience, oh what can I say?! I loved our check in, we met at a pub and dropped our things into a dinghy. The tour and explanation was very important for anyone new to overnighting on a boat, so pay attention 😉. We had fresh fruit while the captains took us to a quiet cove for overnight anchorage. Sleeping overnight with nothing but stars as lights is amazing, especially when you realize you're still so close to civilization. If you want a raucous time, tell them and they'll help prepare game nights, music and beach bars. If you're looking for a retreat, they can bring you to some wonderfully calm locations. For dad and I, this trip was a perfect blend of calm, boat stories, and bonding. Captain Monica and Captain Kenny, joined us in our bonding and also balanced out the time they gave us alone. They are caring, considerate, welcoming, kind and prepared hosts. If you are ready for a different experience when you travel to the keys, then try a few nights with them. As a liveaboard myself, I can attest that this is truly a preview into the real liveaboard experience. We'll be back for another stay!

This place is exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Our 2 night trip was fantastic. We chose this because we wanted an experience that would give us lasting memories and we definitely got that. Dolphins, rainbows, sunrises, sunsets, snorkeling, fishing, and beautiful scenery. We also had a touch of stormy weather, diesel fumes and a cramped head- so it isn't all dolphins and rainbows. But it gives you the genuine liveaboard experience. Captain Kenny and Monica are great people persons, full of stories and easy to talk to. If you've ever thought about staying on or owning a cabin cruiser this is the experience for you. You really will get a sense of the cabin cruiser lifestyle and whether it's for you.

"Lovely Cruise" on the "License to Chill"

Normal people will never experience
How amazing, we did this on a fluke, should of staid 2 nights, this is something some people will never experience. Especially me. Besides the owners staid right with us, like they were traveling with us. They were very trusting, at ease with us, and very friendly. Awesome conversation. They worked good as a team. And made sure everything was as comfortable as possible. Cooked for us, and served us, even ate and conversed with us. How much better than that. I felt before we left, somewhere in life our paths will cross again, be in there or in our snow life. Best of all. To make sure we where all safe. Kenny slept out of his room on the couch. To make sure everyone was safe and tucked in for the night. I can not say enough about this night. I relaxed more than i prob ever have in my life. I could of staid a few days and forget all my problems. For one night we were able to forget the rest of the world. Definitely a night to remember. A couple to remember. Kenny and Monica made sure of that. What a life they live,,and they are just normal people like us. Thats what i like most , just a normal story, living a dream. They worked hard to make it happen, and did that.

If you are looking for that live aboard experience, where you feel like you are on a friends boat, and you don’t have the hustle and bustle of a cruise, this is it. The red carpet gets rolled out for you. You will be accommodated to the level that you require. Absolutely money well spent. But you have to chill........to get the license

Our 2 night trip on License To Chill was fantastic. Kenny and Monica are so hospitable and really go out of their way to ensure that your trip is all you dreamed of. They offer you choices such as, snorkeling, fishing, tubing or just plain ole relaxing. The food they provide is delicious!! I would highly recommend this trip for those that want to enjoy the outdoors, view beautiful sunrises and spectacular sunsets. Oh, and did I mention the dolphins who swam next to the yacht for some great photos moments. THIS IS A MUST FOR YOUR "TO DO" LIST!!

Birthday Celebration
We had a terrific time aboard License to Chill! Captains Kenny and Monica were extremely attentive and made us feel welcome instantly. We enjoyed being surrounded by the beautiful waters of Islamorada. The meals prepared for us by Kenny and Monica were absolutely delicious, especially the key lime pie prepared for my birthday! The accommodations were clean and tastefully decorated. We cannot wait to go sailing again!

Unique Experience with great people!
First time spending the night on a boat, really had a great time. Even though it rained a few hours our first day, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Captains Kenny and Captain Monica. The soft rain under the covered aft deck was very soothing. My husband really enjoyed his time on the bridge with captain Kenny, and we had a wonderful time taking the dinghy out to dinner at Lorelei's restaurant and cabana bar. Great time!

Absolutely incredible experience!!
Kenny and Monica were beyond fantastic as hosts, and by the end of the trip they were more like family. Everything was just perfect, the activities we did were a blast and we got plenty done all while taking things at our own pace. The food was terrific, the scenery was breathtaking, and the hospitality was top notch. My only complaint was that it had to end, I don't want to be back at work today!

Wonderful Keys experience!
Captains Kenny and Monica are the perfect hosts and we are so happy we got to experience a day in their “living the dream” FL Keys lifestyle. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome, the seriously delicious meals and great conversation! We stayed a few more days in the keys (on land) and for sure, found ourselves missing the boat! We hope we get to go back again!

A Wonderful Experience
“License to Chill” is a true Gem! Not only is the boat great; Captain Kenny and Monica are truly living a dream and super excited to share this with their guests. From the moment we arrived at the boat we were treated like family. We are so blessed to have experienced this wonderful adventure with them. Kenny and Monica are caring, genuine heart-felt fun people. Every morning we were able to enjoy coffee on the deck as we took in nature’s beauty, rainbows over the ocean. “License to Chill” is definitely a treasure.

Brad, Dee their daughter Olivia and nephew Patrick were a delight to host. We enjoyed the company and conversation. Just regular hard working people that can relax and enjoy the moment. We hope to host them again soon.

kenny and monica they are awesome!! taking care of us all the time, they are so nice that i wanted to stay with them, for sure I will come back! and the yacht!!! wow!!! everything so clean and comfy! so beautiful! the only thing i regret is not to stay longer, the experience is awesome. i would recommended 1000 %. para los que hablamos espanol esta experiencia es unica, el yate de ellos es precioso, tiene dos habitaciones super comodas, la cama las almohadas el colchon, etc todo fenomenal, la limpieza extrema, la atencion de los duenos es super, se quedan contigo pendiente de lo q necesites todo el tiempo, en la noche que estuve ahi pasamos un momento super agradable, primero bailando, son muuy buenos bailadores de musica latina!!!! se los recomiendo!

Anyone that has the chance to host this wonderful lady will be very fortunate for the opportunity. Niovis, her daughter Isis, friend Daniella and mother Ann are all awesome guests. They are very considerate, clean, neat and a lot of fun getting to know. We enjoyed very much the free flowing conversation about their culture and shared lots of life experiences. We would, with no hesitation host Niovis again. Hopefully for a few days as one day just wasn't long enough. Stay well, Niovis and hurry on down to see us.

Exceptional Hospitality from very fun and informational Hosts
The License to Chill boating experience was top notch! Our flight was delayed 3 hours and instead of a sunset cruise as planned, they gave us a morning cruise! After we boarded, Kenny and Monica gave us a fantastic welcome with a tour of the yacht. We sat in the moonlight and got to know each other. They had such great information about the Keys! Little did we know they had worked as Visitor Information representatives for years. They had phenomenal suggestions for the rest of our time in the Keys. They took the time to know what sort of activities we wanted to do in the Keys and tailored their suggestions to that. WE WERE SO GRATEFUL for their suggestions. We couldn't have had the same experience on our vacation without their help! The yacht was cozy but still had two staterooms and 3 heads. They showed us how they anchor up and back down again; showing us what the real yachting experience is. They provided us breakfast the next morning and were so attentive to us so that we could enjoy our coffee in the sunrise. We didn't have to ask for anything. They already thought of everything! After we left them, we continued to text them pictures and sharing our experiences with Kenny and Monica! I would recommend License to Chill Real Liveaboard Experience to anyone. Whether one night or longer, you will enjoy this amazing experience! Thank you Kenny and Monica!

Terri, Mike, Gregg and Linda, From the moment they boarded there was such an ease of comfort that getting to know each other was just simple flowing conversation that old friends catch up on even when years separate their busy lives. They are neat, courteous wonderful guests. We would welcome them back anytime. Guests like these 2 couples remind us of the blessing that we are so fortunate to share. We recommend any future hosts to welcome these fine guests into their home.

Best vacation ever. Best hosts ever. Can't wait to go again.
We celebrated my 65th and my husband's 70th Birthdays with a couple of our friends aboard License to Chill. What fun! From the moment we stepped aboard, we felt comfortable and attended to in every way possible. Kenny and Monica were such wonderful hosts, making sure our every need was met. The yacht was very roomy, providing adequate space and creature comforts. My favorite spot was on the sun lounge on the front deck. My husband's was on the bridge with Kenney as he expertly guided the yacht from one Anchorage to another. Monica would whip up the best meals with ease, she was amazingly fast in everything she did. If you've ever dreamed of taking a private yacht trip, you should definitely book with Kenny and Monica on the License to Chill. We've traveled to the Caribbean islands and Florida keys before on cruise ships and as fly in tourists. This private charter was by far the most fun we have ever had. We watched dolphins chase the yacht. Had a glass of wine as we watched the sunset. Danced to our favorite tunes under the stars. Frolicked in the crystal clear waters of the keys. Had a fishing tournament with Captain Kenny, and then Monica expertly prepared our catch for dinner. When we boarded, Kenny gave us a business card, told us it was our license to chill, and that he wanted us to laminate it when we get back home so that anytime we felt stressed we could look at it and remember how to chill. We will always remember this trip and the two new friends who made our vacation so memorable.
