"Super cute, like being in your own romantic little bubble in the countryside. We came to watch a friend do a parachute jump at the airfield for charity. It was the perfect place to stay for a night or two. Loved the BBQ, the view through the windows and the way the space was designed. So compact and yet everything was so considered and well designed. "Lovely hut, with a peaceful and cosy atmosphere.
We stayed here for a couple of nights for the end part of our road trip, whilst visiting around cities and towns, it was great, it was nice and secluded too. "

"Easy to find and fantastic big car park at the back of the hotel which was included in the price of our stay. Lovely warm room, comfortable bed and great shower. There was a good breakfast selection but staff didn’t interact with customers and didn’t clear our table once during our 2 day stay. I hate dirty pots around me!! Also no conversation with restaurant staff about alternatives for breakfast as only had fried eggs on offer at self selection. I asked for poached eggs and it took them over 20 mins to bring them to me. I asked twice how long they would be and was told there is a bit of a delay with my order as quite a few people had ordered them. Not sure why as it only takes a couple of mins to cook these!! Also hot food options were empty and had to keep asking for things which was a bit annoying. Overall our stay was okay and I would stay again. "
"Loved our stay! Came for a weekend very last minute, would come again! Think the spa could do with a little modernisation, really friendly staff too ! "
"The room was dirty , dirty pillowcase left on the floor!
No cleaning done prior to our arrival
No matress topper on one of the beds
No replacement of toilet paper
No soap refill
We put our used towels to be replaced on the floor of the bathroom..
we
When we came back after our day out , the DIRTY towels were replaced back on the towel rails!!!
This was not acceptable at all ..
There was no ramp to get our suitcases up the steps into the hotel reception door way . We found this a struggle and no staff on hand to help.

"Tried to arrange everything in advance for a stay with my mum, who has mobility issues. Staff were very accomodating, however, everything was a little further away than they made it out to be. Which did cause some issues. Fine if you are a wheelchair user, but my mum uses crutches to get around. It was not that easy for her.
Rooms are very basic, for the price and the attraction of "Horwood House". Be careful, the beds are on wheels, which surprised my mum, as she almost fell off. They are also pretty firm matresses, not the most comfortable night I've ever had. I also had a dripping noise all night in my room, that sounded like the buildings heating.
The pool/spa was lovely though. Not many changing facilities, so queues happen often, but it was nice and modern and clean.
Dinner at Harrys was excellent. Fresh, hot and delicious. Be aware the cocktails are very expensive though.
Breakfast was a disappointment. Definitely not worth £20 per person. I know its geared up for wedding parties/conferences, but the quality was so bad and nothing was as warm as it should be.
The staff however, are amazing.
They were so accomdating, friendly and willing to go over and above.
This ranges from reception, to the staff at Harrys, the Spa and 1911 for breakfast.
The staff truly made the visit special, even if some of the other stuff was a disappointment."
