Our family stayed at the beach cottage for a long weekend and it was absolutely perfect! The location is ideal, the house was extremely clean, and made for a wonderful beach getaway! The host was excellent with communication and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Highly recommend!

Our trip was last minute. Janelle worked with us through VRBO platform issues!! As for the property, the location is excellent. Its a very short walk from the beach, and we were able to walk to restaurants as well. The house was immaculate, every single detail taken care of. We would definitely be back.

Perfect Vacation

Perfect shore getaway

Traveled with my husband, two kids in their 20's & our dog. Loved being able to bring our dog along! House was clean & as described. I appreciated there were plenty of towels, beach towels as well as beach umbrella, chairs & even boogie board for the ocean. Easy walk to the beach. Close to lots of restaurants & stores.

Perfection!

This house was perfect for our family vacation! It was very clean and the beds were comfy! It was well stocked with coffee, towels, beach towels, beach toys, and umbrella! The host was very quick to respond - although we had NO issues while we were there! Many fantastic places to eat were within walking distance and the beach was maybe a three minute walk! We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a fabulous time!

Fabulous OBX Beach house

We absolutely loved our stay at Close Enough! Stacey was an accommodating and gracious host. She was also quick to respond to all of our questions. The house was easy to find and was in walking distance to some of the best restaurants in Kill Devil Hills. Well equipped and very comfortable, the house was perfect for our group and most importantly our pups! They had an absolute blast at the beach and we will definitely be coming back!

Escape the hustle and bustle with exceptional location and beautiful beach house

Our stay was fantastic, it consisted of older adults and kids in their 20s. House was very clean, well stocked with dishes+ for cooking. Beautiful weather our entire stay, walk to the beach was basically walk to your backyard! We all have been to numerous beaches in our lifetime, this was one of the most stunning beaches you will find. The sand is like velvet and no seaweed to be found! Close walk to many restaurants. We also enjoyed a nearby water park, no lines either! If you are looking for a great place and area to stay, this is your pick.

A Great Get-Away!

We (ages from 10 to 80) totally enjoyed our stay at "Close Enough!" It was indeed close enough and was equipped with any and everything we needed. It was clean and neat as well. We all enjoyed the porch! It was the perfect place to enjoy that first cup of coffee. It was nice in the evening too! The location is perfect - close to great eateries as well as the ocean. Stacey was quick to respond to any need or question that we had. We were all impressed with her and her place, and hopefully we can return next summer.

Nice and cozy

The layout of the beach house was perfect for our family. Four bedrooms on each corner of the house; two bathrooms in between the bedrooms and a living/kitchen space in the center. A front and a back porch was handy. The hangout area underneath the house was messy but there was sand involved so that was understandable. The kids loved it.

Wonderful stay

This home was perfect for our family of 6. The home was perfectly clean and had so many thoughtful amenities. The kitchen was so well stocked. Pots, pans, any serving dish you could imagine and even an air fryer. Stacey, the owner, even leaves paper towels, cleaning supplies and spices stocked. The lounge area underneath the house was lovely to have and the kids really enjoyed it. Location is good with easy, short walk to beach. Stacey was quick to communicate and very thoughtful. Highly recommend this lovely home

Close Enough

My family and I had such a wonderful time at Close Enough. The house was beautiful and only a short walk to the beach and one of our favorite spots, The Bonzer Shack. Stacey was nothing short of incredible, always available and when we had an issue, due to some miserable weather, she was quick to respond and get the situation resolved. 10/10 would recommend Close Enough!

September getaway with family

nice house, but some additional furnature would nice to have. Was tough for all 7 grown-ups to have dinner together in the house and the furniture could be a little more comfortable. We couldn;t all sit in the family room together without 1-2 people opn the floor.

Great Family Weekend!

The house has everything! There were so many conveniences provided! Beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys and plenty of towels! The kitchen was fully stocked and prepared for whatever you might need. Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. There were even pet dishes! The balcony porch and the downstairs area were great hangout areas. It's location is great too. Walking distance to Starbucks and other restaurants. Just a few steps to the beach with no roads to cross. Thank you!

NYE weekend

This is a great location to have a family gathering. The beach access was perfect for us with a baby and two dogs. First day trek was beach walk (AKA shell and dolphin searching) with a crossover to First Flight and back. Just fabulous. Well equipped unit, very clean, and super nice internet. We didn’t use the downstairs gathering area because it was a little chilly but can imagine that as a really cool area to hang out. Maybe this summer…

Perfect trip!

We originally planned for this to be a family vacation with nieces, nephews, grandparents, pets etc. It ended up just being my mother and I and our two dogs. And it was awesome! The house is in a great location. Walking distance to the ocean. The area the house is in as well as the beach were incredibly clean. We didn't see any trash anywhere. The house itself was perfect. Plenty of room for us and our doggos with a nice big deck on the back for everyone to relax and listen to the waves.The house was incredibly clean and had everything we could have asked for. The Wi-Fi was great as well (I needed to work a bit). We are already planning our trip for next year!

Family Summer Vaca w/Child and Goldendoodle

We had a fantastic week at Close Enough! The property was clean and a great size for our family of 3 and our goldendoodle, Lucy. The walk to the beach was not too far at all. The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we needed to prepare meals each day. You can tell the owners put a lot of love into the place. It was very cozy. The decor was tasteful and very beachy. We did have to put a sheet over the anatomically-correct mermaid on the wall hahaha but the Bible verses on the wall made up for that. It was a wonderful stay! There was an issue with the door handle when we first arrived. The owner was very prompt and gracious in helping us through that. Her communication throughout the entire stay was amazing! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this location!
