This was our second stay at The Priory while visiting Killarney!Perfect location for the short walk to town center or to Muckross House and Abbey!Beautiful accommodations and the hosts are wonderful!
Spacious and very well equipped unit that was perfect for 2 couples. Kitchen was excellent for self catering. Host was helpful and welcoming and we enjoyed the ambience of the place. Easy walking distance to stores, restaurants etc and great to be next to Killarney National Park. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely family stay. Tim and Bernadette were very welcoming and gave us great information about the nearby hikes. Torc mountain was really beautiful and we had a great time discovering Killarney's town.
Loved "everything" about our home away from home.Such nice little extras, the spring water was nice bonus.Just a short walk to Killarney center.Would gladly stay with them again.Taxi drivers knew Tim by name.
We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend. It’s a short distance away from downtown Killarney.
Great central location for visits to SW Ireland; walkable to downtown Killarney; easy checkin/out; appropriate amenities in kitchen and baths; comfortable beds.
Property was charming, clean and comfortable. Great location: next to Killarney National Park and less than one mile walk from city center.
Hosts were very helpful and responsive.
Great home. Very clean with excellent water pressure. It’s away from the touristy area but easily accessible to town and the National Park. Walkable to anything in town, Muckross Abbey and House. Highly recommended! We look forward to staying again in the future.
Great location, friendly and helpful hosts and very clean and well-appointed cottage. The hosts helped use book transportation and gave us a list of things to do and directions! Would definitely stay at The Priory again,
10/10 recommend staying here. The property is beautiful and located close (but not too close) to the center of Killarney. Owners were very friendly and helpful. They have a couple of cute dogs who walk around throughout the day.
A truly excellent location. Quaint and private but easy access to Killarney town and area activities. The cottage was outfitted with everything we needed for our family and the setting is lovely. You feel transported to another era but with all the modern conveniences. The host’s care and thoughtfulness of family needs was evident throughout. Plus they provided helpful hints and tips for exploring the local area.
Hosts Bernadette and Tim were very friendly and helpful. Cottage was just as pictured and described. Beds were very comfortable. Very up-to-date kitchen. Very clean. Location was perfect for our needs - close to restaurants and attractions. Would stay again!
We truly enjoyed returning to the priory cottage after exploring several idyllic Irish towns. Bernadette welcomed us so warmly and their sweet pup Teddy was always there to greet us at our door in the morning. Being so close to Killarney center and St.Marys Cathedral was a big plus. We recommend a stay here for sure and we hope to return soon!
Our host, Bernadette, was a delight!!! So helpful and funny. The property was just as pictured.....perfect, comfortable and wonderful location. We would highly recommend this place for family, friends and groups.
Tim & Bernadette were wonderful; close enough if needed and provided maps and recommendations for excursions, pubs, etc. Glad we had a car for Ring of Kerry excursion and Tim’s suggestions were spot on!
Only sad to leave.
Excellent location, very charming, lovely house. Overall, everything was great, but we did not realize the stairs would be so steep for the second level bedroom. It was challenging at night if someone had to use the downstairs bathroom. But to be fair, we were three older women. There were two resident dogs and a cat, which were so much fun :-). Thank you Bernadette and Tim.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the cottage — its space and location. It was an ideal base camp for adventures throughout Kerry & Cork counties. Tim provided written instructions to several off the beaten path treasures. We walked multiple times day to downtown and biked through the National park. After a days adventure and before heading out to the pub at nite we cozied up on the couch with a peat fire and a warm blanket. Will be lucky to stay here again! Thank you!
Such a lovely week. Thank you to Bernadette and Tim!
Both Tim and Bernadette were so welcoming and helpful during the whole week. We met the family dogs, Teddy and Maize which was the highlight of my kids' trip. Teddy would bark at our door during dinner to come in and visit. We lost our dog back in May, so these visits were so fun for us. The courtyard is absolutely gorgeous!
We had more than enough room for the 4 of us. The beds were very comfortable, and having the 2 bathrooms was convenient. Having the kitchen was wonderful. We bought our groceries for the week at Matco, a gas station that has a Centra in it. Many fresh food options -we have food allergies and easily found things to cook. It was VERY nice to have a washer and dryer on site, as it rained everyday. We did not rent a car on our stay, but were able to walk everywhere. It is the perfect middle point between the city and the national park. One day we rented bikes and toured the whole national park, which was one of our favorite things. My kids are 19 and 21, so the walks into town were just fine for us. One day my husband and I took the path Bernadette showed us, and were able to walk to the Ross Castle. We explored the city, shopped, and experienced the different pubs Bernadette recommended. We hired a driver for 2 days to explore other day trips. We made our 1st peat fire ever, which helped us stay toasty warm. There isn't cable TV, but pack some DVDs as there is a player. We used the Wifi to stream our own entertainment by the fire. A wonderful place to stay!
It was a wonderful property! It had so many touches that made you feel at home. So many board games, travel coolers, umbrellas, and shopping bags. It was comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen was a dream! Lots of opportunities to walk & enjoy the nearby river. Close to everything!
