Brilliant venue especially considering the price! Lovely helpful staff, plenty of tea & coffee for the room little bottle of shampoo & soaps in the bathroom. Looking forward to our next stay! xx

Nice stay at the Douglas Hotel
We had a nice stay at the Douglas Hotel whilst visitng Kilmarnock. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially in the current situation. We would have no issue staying here when in the area

Birthday in Killie.
Really glad we booked this Hotel.It will be our choice for any future stay in Kilmarnock. Girls that worked on the day we were there,were great,made for a very relaxing visit. Room itself was very comfortable,with a cracking bathroom. Decided to have our evening meal there before heading out for the Birthday bash. Glad we did food was excellent. It's also in a very handy location. Cheers Mick.

Good hotel. Clean and friendly
Great hotel in Kilmarnock. Good clean room, with excellent cleanliness and service from the staff. Bed was a bit too solid, just need a memory topper. Staff were attentive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

OK but avoid the breakfast
A hotel at the cheap end of the market and you get what you pay for, but do not pay £9 for the breakfast - go somewhere else unless you particularly want a moderate, not very warm one but with "on site" convenience.

A friendly small hotel. All the staff we met were great and keen to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The room was spacious, the shower was powerful and the breakfast was good. We slept well. The only things on the negative were the lack of any mirror in the bedroom and the softness of the bed.

Should have booked with hotel direct. We were given the worst room next to the laundry and close to the function room. In itself NOT the end of the world, but this was a room with no window, airc.on or ventilation of any sort except for a small exhaust fan in the bathroom. A bathroom with broken taps. A change of ownership earlier in the year meant a change of name, and this is not recorded on the hotels.com website. A reasonable place to stay but only if you first inspect the room.

On check in girl was not very pleasant did not even tell me what direction I had to go to get to room. Just put key in counter and walked of I had to ask someone else. That night there was a party down stairs the noise at around midnight was terrible it did get quite about one hour later.

I booked a room with a king size bed and a single bed. The room actually had a small double and a single, no headboards. The single bed covered entrance to the bathroom somewhat so you had to step around it to enter/exit. There was no window only a unopenable skylight with no blind. There was food on the carpet in the bedroom and what looked like tea/coffee slop down the shower screen and tray inside and outside. Broken glass in the corner on the floor. There was one foot stool which was stained and had mug rings on it and something spilt down the sides. The lid of the kettle was filthy too. The bathroom ceiling was stained and operating the shower with blurred out instructions was like s comedy sketch. The bedroom ceiling was water damaged and in two areas hanging down a bit. Breakfast was ok until the realisation the bacon was only half cooked. On the positive side the staff were friendly, the Barman who had let us in after being locked out for a while was also serving breakfast was quite rushed in the morning. They had changed the hotel name to the Douglas hotel. It’s just such a shame as new name and signage can only do so much. I did not make a fuss or complain as one of our party not well and we did not want to increase anxiety, fortunately our friends were close by so we only slept here.

Excellent. Was welcomed even though I turned up at 23.30. Bedroom was clean and spacious bed was very comfortable slept really well. Breakfast was great. Will definitely stay here again. Keep up the good work 😁😁😁 thank you for my stay and my early breakfast.

Lovely staff with a great welcome and couldn't do much more to make me feel happier... But my room was very shabby and had a lot of marking and damages bed was broken and so was arm chairs leg marks on walls lampshades were dented.

Stayed here one night as going to music event room was cold no black out blind bathroom dated left to go out to the event my room door did not lock asked staff about this they also tried to look our door was unable to she informed me that she would get the next member of staff that was coming to get the spare key and lock the room I explained that I wanted my room to be looked as soon as possible as had valuable items in my bag returned to find room still us locked after being away for several hours there seems to be very little staff and clearly no communication between the staff the member of staff that was on reception when we returned could not even find our key when found room still unlocked did not even apologise will not book this hotel ever again very disappointing I would not recommend this hotel

Generally happy with the hotel and very convenient to the town centre though disappointed to see the cleaner washing the cup in the bathroom sink and using a dirty towel to dry the cup and put back for next usage.

Nice clean hotel but terrible customer service
Staffing issues were clear from the start, only 1 person running the whole hotel. On check in informed last orders for food 8pm but when we tried to order at 7.40 staff point blank refused to take our order stating they did not have any food. Staff clearly stressed, ordered a coffee and an hour after the order questioned where it was and was met with the reply ‘FFS!’ We we’re unable to order breakfast again only 1 member of staff taking orders, cooking and clearing tables and being on a tight timescale we were unable to find a clean table and couldn’t take the risk of the long wait. Check out - no one available, left room key on counter along with a note saying we had left. Not a cheap hotel to have such terrible customer service
