"The room was clean and TV, drinks bathroom all ok, the hotel was undergoing refurbishment, some electrical work in process in our room, so dining facilities were not available, can recommend the Bistro for breakfast and the chinese was good for takeaway. Price was good. The folk museum was excellent and Highland wild life park nearby."

"Great stay for the money. Nice balcony overlooking the locks. Parking is easy once understood ( free parking on small roadway across the street). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommend coming before the café and shop down stairs close."

"Comfy big bed and nice big room. Everything you could want for an overnight stay. Staff were super helpful and friendly and I would say the hotel's biggest asset. The furnishings and decor are a bit tired and dated and really could do with upgrading."

"Excellent hotel ! Very convenient if you want a beautiful properly with amazing meals. The chef is special… besides all the other great dishes, Indian food was authentic. Great selection of alcohol .. we enjoyed G&Ts. Very close to Fort Augustus, great for visiting the Great Glen Gin distillery and Loch Ness ! The location of the hotel is stunning"
