Perfect place to stay for a family of five like us. A short walk to the charming town centre of Kinsale (don't take your car down there if you don't need to on busy summer days, streets are narrow and cars parked everywhere). We found everything we needed for self-household in this bungalow, and spent hours relaxing in the back garden. Clean and nice, and enough wardrobe space for everybody. We spent a week in Kinsale, and had several day-trips from here, the longest to the lovely Dingle peninsula and also one along the south coast to Mizen Head via several attractions like the Michael Collins centre and the model railway near Clonakilty, numerous acheological sites, the planetarium in Schull and generally the coastal landscape itself.
We spent a couple of days walking to the fort one day and to the beach another day. We also had lovely strolls in Kinsale town, shopping in the small shops, taking photos and looking at the enchanting pictures of Kinsale's own art photographer Giles Norman ( 30 years anniversary this year, take a look in the gallery or photo shop.)It was always nice returning to the house after holiday experiences like this. Informative brochures about the area is available in the house, and the owner answers questions on mail very swiftly. Only thing is, Scandinavians as we are, we never really found out how to get hot water out of the kitchen tap, but we figured out about the showers :)
