"Property was well maintained and very clean. Breakfast was great but the dinner buffet had limited options. It wasn’t worth the cost. Room service was also very limited. Location wise the nature was gorgeous but you need a car. The onsen was very nice."
"We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect, with Old Karuizawa Ginza Street right outside the hotel, making it super convenient to explore.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we loved the organic-smelling toiletries. Staff were always polite and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast selection was a bit limited, but everything was fresh and well prepared — especially the soups, which we enjoyed every morning.

"We have stayed at à few Hoshinoya hotels in Japan & Taiwan but this is the worst one so far. The room is dark, outdated and to get from bed to bath with many steps makes it difficult at night when the lights are so dim. Only tap water is complimented in the room . The meditation onsen is so dark inside all you see is dark wall no day light the vibe makes me feel scary not relaxing. No compliments of milk or ice cream after bath only juices cans sharing outside of the bath house for both...
