A beautiful place nestled in the mountains, set in a charming, beautifully restored village. Its location is also ideal, roughly halfway between Elafonissi Beach and the Balos Lagoon, making it a great base for exploring both. Our room was a wonderful cottage, full of character and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The restaurant was another highlight, serving truly outstanding dishes. A wonderful experience overall.

If you are a hiker interested in a great place to walk for several days and where you come back to a great dinner in a quiet place, then this is your spot! If you're just looking for a relaxing place to stay, then the drive there may not be worth the effort. The drive there involves some pretty twisty roads with the last 5 km or so on a dirt/gravel road. Once you get there, getting to the reception area and back out again is pretty tricky involving a narrow one lane road. But again, you should be going here if you want good hiking combined worth a quiet place and great food. It's not for the average tourist. The rooms are made of stone and have a nice funky vibe to them. The lock on our door was a rather ancient device and we only got it to work with the help of a can of oil and the hotel manager. The valve in the shower was stuck in one position. One of the USB ports in the room didn't work. But again, if you're looking for a hotel with great USB ports, you shouldn't be coming here. Dinner was great and the restaurant was quiet with striking views of the surrounding mountains. The staff was very friendly and gave us great advice on what else to see while in Crete. Because of the roads, I'm not sure I'd go here again, but I was glad I went.

L’hébergement sentait un produit type xylophene pour tuer les insectes présents dans le bois des charpentes par exemple et cela nous a donné mal à la tête nous avons ouvert toute la nuit portes et fenêtres en vain . Sinon l’endroit est exceptionnel Beaucoup de travail pour aménager ce lieu La route pour y accéder est très longue et finit par une piste de 3 km Une fois que vous êtes arrivés il y a un restaurant et comme vous êtes obligé de louer pour 2 nuits vous devez passer par leur restaurant Pour une retraite de 2 jours c’est un bel endroit avec randonnées et fraîcheur Calme garanti Les chambres sont sommaires mais propres C’est une expérience !

Dette charmerende sted med stenhuse i forskellige niveuer oppe i bjergene er bestemt et besøg værd, hvis man er på Kreta. De er selvforsynende og tilbereder lokale økologiske retter i restauranten. Yderst venligt og hjælpsomt personale

Ekstremt skønt hotel.

Helt igennem perfekt. Et af de bedste hoteller jeg har været på, og jeg har prøvet en del. Helt ekstremt hyggeligt, i skønne omgivelser på toppen af et bjerg.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit im Milia Mountain Retreat. Die Zufahrtsstraße konnten wir sehr gut bewältigen, da wir einen super Fahrer hatten, der sich nicht aus der Ruhe bringen lässt. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und hatten während des gesamten Aufenthaltes sehr gute Erfahrungen mit dem Personal! Wir hatten einen kleinen, sehr schönes Cottage mit einer schönen Terrasse. Das Essen war das beste unseres Urlaubs. Wir haben es wirklich sehr genossen und uns einige Tipps vom Personal geholt. Die Umgebung hat uns auch gut gefallen. Wir waren nur an einem Tag wandern und haben keine große Lust verspürt nochmals losziehen. Stattdessen wollten wir die Zeit im Hotel genießen. Außerdem haben wir den Strand besucht, der ca. 45 Minuten entfernt war. Wir haben einen tollen Tipp vom Personal bekommen und konnten den überfüllten Strand vermeiden. Insgesamt hatten wir eine tolle Zeit. Lediglich die Matratze hat uns nicht gefallen.
