Hilton Garden Inn Outer Banks/Kitty Hawk

10/10 Excellent

"Upon arrival we were greeted with smiles and they explained the resort to us. The rooms were very clean and we had our miniature Daschund with us and she loved the balcony the most. We had 2 oceanfront rooms. I think we used just about all the amenities and even got chairs and umbrellas from the Beach Boss who was AWESOME. I think he really liked Pebbles, our dog. We enjoyed the bar, pools, hot tub, how walkable it is to other things like restaurants and shops and the drugstore is across the street for anything you might have forgotten to pack. The room was comfortable and we appreciated the Keurig in the room. I was glad I had packed my coffee because they charged for coffee downstairs. They also need longer coffee stirrers for the cups that are provided for purchase. I purchased once. That's all I needed, ha! Overall, I give it 5 stars. Parking was close and easy, the pet exercise area was huge and poo bags are provided, amenities are awesome, the pier is steps away, friendly and accommodating staff and a great time had by all in our group. I'd book again for sure! Oh, and besides being very dog friendly, it's very family friendly and I noticed the children really enjoying the big saltwater fish tanks in the lobby."

CLASSIC 1935 OCEANFRONT BEACH COTTAGE

"We had a fantastic stay when we booked it for a week on the beach. We really enjoyed having coffee on the covered porch every morning while we watched the dolphins moving up and down the coast. There are also some good places to eat and drink within walking distance from the cottage.The best thing about the cottage is the view. I don't think we spent much time inside the house when we weren't on the beach -- We were usually sitting on the porch soaking up the scenery. Gorgeous house. Great host communication. Perfect views."

"We are a couple that stayed at Shugafoot in May 2026 with our corgi, Einstein. This stay was honestly one of our best trips yet and we thank this location for that! The deck at Shugafoot was honestly such a blessing. We would spend hours spotting for pelicans, ospreys and pods of dolphins. We even saw a few Guard, C130s and Navy Osprey flying along the coast. We were extremely lucky to have good weather which allowed for some good shelling finds at the beach as well!Other things we enjoyed about Shugafoot:-The large kitchen island and spacious fridge-Location (The cottage is very close to a lot of our favorite KH eats including Awful Arthur’s, John’s Drive In and Arts Place)-The views of the ocean from the living room/kitchen area-Upgrades to the cottage but still has the comforting and nostalgic coastal feeling of staying at the OBX with family We would definitely love to stay at Shugafoot in the future!"

"Clean & perfect for two. Very short walk to the beach, which was nice when we wanted to catch the sunrise. Our host Diane was very nice and accommodating. The apartment was well stocked and furnished nicely. Restaurants within walking distance. Everything you need for a great trip to OBX is here. Thank you for sharing your space with us, Diane! We do hope to visit again!"
