Very well presented hotel, rooms are good size, the grounds are very well maintained. Good swimming pool...and scenic walks. The location lets it down, its isolated and a long way from the to white sands beach area. We were here 2 nights, had I booked longer I think in all probability I would have checked out early.

This property has a lot of potential. Unfortunately a lot of the gardens are over grown and the facilities not well maintained. The beds are comfortable and the view of the beach is amazing. Our shower did not work on arrival but was quickly fixed by maintenance.

A little tired hotel.. it is quit and realaxing, but pretty old. Everything is old and looks so... starting from old stile small TV in the room and finishing with the pool, chairs.. everything. Also you have to walk up and down the hill, pretty expensive restaurant on the beach with okey food, not like it’s goid, it’s okey.. and there are nicer beaches and nicer properties on Koh Chang.. also it is more then 2km away from the main road.. pretty far from everything... it is okey.. but can’t give it more then 3 points... there are more convenient located and better options in my opinion.. it’s Ok though.. the views are beautiful.

Very disappointed. Be careful of room allocation
Sold as an upmarket beach hotel the marketing photos look great when I booked however we were given a tired small budget room at the end of the complex that had no bearing on the advertised rooms. Room was dark, bulb missing in ceiling light. Brown painted walls and dark old furniture. TV was old type with a poor quality picture. Bathroom had shower hose over the bath But bracket to hold the rose was 3ft above an old bath with dirty brown grout. The water was not hot and poor water pressure too Needless to say I gave the shower and bath a miss. Main reception was nice and staff helpful, pool are and beachfront nice and restaurant was smart with a nice breakfast. Overall our room was not as advertised so disappointed especially at the cost. It was advertised as 4 star hotel and we had a 2 star room. Maybe the rooms advertised are nice but the budget block is not mentioned.

Great service and awesome staff!!
Amazing place. We enjoyed it very much. The staff were very friendly. Mrs. Nunnapatt known as Aey was very professional, so helpful and accommodating. The place is dog friendly and my dog enjoyed it very much, specially playing with Mr. Alex, the bellman, what a great smile he has. We will be back.

Customer service can be improved. The front desk staff was very helpful, courteous and polite. The staff by the pool area and in the restaurant need more training.

The best place overall!
The best place we stayed on our entire vacation! The staff was always friendly and helpful. The facilities were amazing. And the location was absolutely beautiful! Then add peacocks on your private balcony and a great breakfast to make the experience completely perfect.

Quiet location great views.
Hotel and reception staff excellent. Restaurant was a let down as service was slow and the meal I ordered was different on each night . The first nights meal was as expected but though the same meal was ordered there was less vegetables the presentation was not as good as was not as shown in the menu. My girlfriends meal was as shown but was served slowly and not as the same time . The staff made the excuse they were busy but there were only about 5 other people eating in the restaurant at that time.

One of the best
To be honest other Thai island looks more suitable for me. Koh Lanta is more quiet, Koh Samui is more chic, north Koh Phangan is more serenity. I'm not a big fan of Koh Chang but this hotel is one of the best: private harbour with private beach (good for swimming morning and day time), big, very well designed and maintained hotel area. Nice restaurants, helpful staff, free shuttles two time per day to White Sand Beach and small village nearby with nice Orthodox chirch. Rooms (villas) looks pretty old designed but nice too. Overall - good for relax.

Overall, a good place to stay, especially for kids
We enjoyed the quiet, away from the excitement of White Sand beach. The view is magnificent, but the bay itself is not great for swimming. The water tends to be brackish, so we recommend Lonely Beach. It can be reached by taxi for 100 B per person, in about 20 minutes. However, the Aiyapura pool is marvellously well maintained and great to swim in. They have a gym and a few beach side play sites for younger children. The Aiyapura is very clean and in fairly good condition (some rotten wood on the steps, some outdoor lights that need new bulbs). The food is overpriced, and not fantastic. For example, why are they charging 150 B for a fruit shake? Even an upscale restaurant charges only 60 B, and a roadside shake is 30 B. Their free breakfast provides lovely local food, and poor western food. And their coffee is dreadful! They also miss a lot of opportunities to provide activities for guests, although they do have kayaks and mountain bikes for free borrowing. They could do a better job of guiding guests to outside activities (where they could probably benefit themselves as well). Actually, they appear to be fairly clueless about what is available on the greater island. All in all, we would return: the lovely room, great pool and peaceful atmosphere were very much appreciated. We would know in advance to eat and seek beaches elsewhere. I didn't see another place along the beach as nice to stay at as this, even it were closer to the beach.

Spectacular
We wanted a quiet getaway in a nice setting and Aiyapura was perfect. From the restful front porch of the beachfront bungalow the viwe was spectacular. The resort is in a somewhat isolated location, so if you want to be in the hustle and bustle of tourists and souvenire then this is not the spot. The resort has a free shuttle service to White Sands if guests want to shop or dine out. The chef was amazing. Thai food was great as was European. The tuna steak was out of this world. It is a large resort so you can do plenty of walking,jogging,etc. There are also golf carts at your service if you don't wish to walk. Will definitely return to Aiyapura.

The resort has different levels of accommodation, ranging from two-star to probably five-star (though I didn't see other rooms). I was in the cheapest room and it was still quite nice. The bathtub needed a bit of refinishing (loose fixtures), but the room was otherwise clean and had balcony overlooking the bay. The shared resort facilities and private beach are what make this resort. The beach is hand-cleaned regularly (daily?).

Had problem checking out. The staff clammed we damaged the floor and wanted us to pay $1200 to fix it. After threatening to call the police, they admitted it was preexisting damage. To check out took over an hour.

great hotel on a remote part of the island quiet and peaceful amenities were great spa fantastic staff great manager nice guy would go back and kick back relaxeing the only draw back was the consistancy of the coctails a bit pricy and i would recomment them to get in touch with kool mix a thailand based company and order the pre made concentrated fresh fruit assormtments of coctails for there bar and complimentry drink when the guest arrives the brekfest was a bit slim could have been more plush the overall value was good highly recommened to stay the singer in the restaruant at night was a plus as well bring you r own dvds

Big resort = big room
Overall was a good stay. In between the pier and white sand so location is good. However not on the main beach so about 15 mins drive to White sands through some steep roads. Booked a garden villa which was spacious and had a tub (however the tub's stopper wasn't working). Room service was a little slow but you would expect that in big resorts (+ whats the real hurry if you are on vacation). Enjoyed my break except for the super long wait to get on the pier (Both times).

A haven great for a quiet break. Big pool kept well. Two clean nice beaches anda good choice of activities. Shuttle bus to nearby packed resort area for a change of scene. Great helpful staff. A great choice.

Great location, just 10 mins away from town so very quiet and peaceful. However, the free shuttle finishes at 7 pm which was very disappointing and earlier than I've ever come across. The food in the restaurant is good and reasonably priced, although obviously more expensive than town. The spa is worth a visit. The towels are not ready in the morning until about 11 am which was rather frustrating - they obviously need to buy more!

Beautiful Quiet Resort
My husband and I booked the room at FuramaXclusive Resort Aiyapura on Koh Chang for 1 night because we were not sure how much we would enjoy the island and the resort. The resort and island turned out to be really nice and impressive. There were peacocks walking around. The place is quite well maintained and quiet. We got to see the fire show at the resort while we were swimming in the pool next to the ocean! Even though the room was quite nice, we thought it could be a bit more clean for being a 5-star hotel. We would go back!

Excellent resort in a fantastic setting, couldn't ask for better.
Staff were great, room very pleasant and amenities available were all one could need. Plenty to do strolling around the resort, all very secluded, loved the wild life!! Definitely need transport to get to the other parts of the island. Would return.

WANTED A 5 STAR RESORT BUT THIS REORT IS NOT ONE. THE STAFF ARE GREAT BUT THE WHOLE RESORT IS OUTDATED. LOCATION IS GREAT IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE THE REST OF THE ISLAND BUT IF YOU WANT TO SEE THINGS IT IS REMOTE. WOULD STAY AGAIN IF THE PRICE WAS CHEAPER.

Loved the spectacular views and accommodating staff. Nice buffet breakfast. Peacocks roaming the grounds really added to the ambience. Would like less sugary drinks at the swim up bar. Would've like to be warned of the many steps...lots of climbing involved.

Nice and secluded
This resort is perfect if you just want to relax and get away from it all. Compared to a lot of the other "resorts" we passed by there's no comparison. It's not far from White Sand Beach but you still need to take the shuttle. I can't speak for the smaller rooms but the villas are perfect if you don't want too many other people around. The villas also have a very nice jacuzzi tub but I will warn that there wasn't much in the way of hot water. I would definitely recommend taking half of a day for a spa treatment.

Could be a lot better.
This hotel is gorgeous, however, there's a lot of things that need improvement; their jacuzzi was not working, their website says that they offer yoga however, when I asked about it they said that it was only available one day that week, and it was at 8:30 in the morning. So, I told the hotel staff that I would think about it. Later on that evening, I actually ran into the yoga instructor, and after talking for 2 minutes she said that I probably knew more than her about yoga( mind you I have only been practicing for 2 yrs.) That said, I chose not to do it. The next morning, we decided to book an elephant trek with the hotel, and was told to meet at 11:00 am in front of the hotel. We got ready, and showed up at 11:00 all for them to tell us that they weren't doing the trek today. Ugh. Enough said, we left and stayed at a much cheaper hotel on white sand beach and had a blast!
