Staff were very helpful and friendly. My friend and I booked a twin room which was a very good price. Overall it was clean but there was no plug in the sink and no mattress protector on the beds. The room has a safe and a small fridge, but the biggest disappointment was the absence of a kettle and tea/coffee facilities. Maybe this is a generation thing, but it has put us of returning. We had a drink in the bar which was very nice and reasonably priced. I suppose you get what you pay for.

On arrival there was 3 members of staff on reception and I was told to use a QR code to check in. Sent to a room that hadn't been serviced and had dirty sheets on the bed and towels on the floor. The next room has stains on the bedsheets, a used cotton bud in the bathroom and receipts left on the floor from the previous occupant. I would have given the stay 1 star but the breakfast was fairly nice (though basic). This is no longer a hotel and the reviews I think are from previous management company. Now a hostel so basic facilities (no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms).

I travel from Malta to Manchester frequently, and I always choose the Novotel Manchester Centre for my accommodation. It is centrally located, the room rates per night are very reasonable, the staff are friendly, and the rooms are always clean and tidy. Breakfast is also good and includes a lot of items. Highly recommended for those traveling with family, especially children.
