"If arriving by train in Alingsas, the Grand Hotel’s location can’t be beaten. Our room was very quiet except for the sound of the squeaky elevator passing the third floor. The housekeeping staff keep the hotel spotless. Other pluses include a comfy bed and a kettle in the room. I love staying in older hotels with charm and character. The Grand Hotel has this in spades. "

"This is a massive hotel and extremely busy with events but none of this effects your stay, the rooms are very quiet and soundproofed, the area around the hotel is undergoing a lot of renovation but again this didnt effect my stay, food and shopping a 5-10 minute walk away and the hotel is very central for tourism easy to walk to sites or to catch public transport, i would highly reccomend."

"The rooms and hotel were clean, including spa and gym area. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options. surrounding area was convenient with bus stop right in front and a supermarket less than 5 minute walk away.
Every single staff member I came across was super friendly and helpful.
There was no pot or coffee/tea in the room, but I think they will loan it out at the front desk if you need it.
If ever in Gothenburg again, would definitely be my first choice."
