"Self-service check in was very smooth. Property is very clean and quiet. Near a bus line. Self-serve breakfast was tasty. Airport shuttle service was very convenient. Staff is friendly. "If arriving by train in Alingsas, the Grand Hotel’s location can’t be beaten. Our room was very quiet except for the sound of the squeaky elevator passing the third floor. The housekeeping staff keep the hotel spotless. Other pluses include a comfy bed and a kettle in the room. I love staying in older hotels with charm and character. The Grand Hotel has this in spades. "

"Toller Ort mit einer Vielzahl von Freizeitangeboten/Aktivitäten. Die Umgebung auf dem Festland als auch auf der Insel ist sehr schön. Die Kommunikation mit dem Hause war leider enttäuschend. Bis zum Ende alle Mails und SMS auf Schwedisch !? Zudem hat uns eine familiäre Atmosphäre gefehlt, alles war recht kühl und distanziert."

"The location was great because my daughter attends Chalmers University which was less than 10 minutes by foot. Public transportation is close by to the hotel to access restaurants and local shops. The staff is always available and very helpful. Breakfast was available and there were plenty of options to choose from. The hotel rooms very clean and comfortable. Would go back if in the area again. I would highly recommend this hotel. "

"Great hotel just on the edge of the historic centre of Gothenburg. Hotel felt upmarket, rooms were great, beds comfy, was a short walk from the bus station so handy for getting to and from the airport, and whilst not quite as central as other hotels, it was only a 5 minute walk to lots of restaurants and shops and the old town and the price was very reasonable. Breakfast was fantastic - amazing selection "
