The reception staff were friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have had a bar to have a drink in. We were a couple but our room had three beds, this didn’t give us much space, so a double/twin room would have been better. The breakfast arrangements were good and there was a good variety of food option. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

Nice Old School Hotel
The location of the hotel is good, but it is approximately a 10-15 minute walk to the city center. There are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants near the hotel and public transportation to the center is right outside the door. The hotel itself is a little bit "old school" but the rooms are comfortable and the bed was great. Breakfast had plenty of choices and everybody in the hotel was friendly and helpful. A few negatives: 1. Water pressure in the shower wasn't great. 2. Wifi signal in the room was really week. 3. Large metal key to the room. Overall a nice hotel and a good base to explore Krakow.

Perfect Location/Friendly and helpful Staff
I would highly recommend Hotel Maksymilian. We have traveled with our 11 year old autistic daughter and after making a reservation I have asked for a quiet room if at all possible. It was very nice to see the Hotel respond almost right away reassuring me that the room we have actually reserved is a quiet one with windows towards the courtyard. Lovely Lady has greeted us with a smile and was very helpful when we arrived. Room sparkly clean with plenty of space and 1.5 bath. We have had a suite which also had two actual rooms. Very friendly Staff - beginning with the reception, including housekeeping staff as well as Staff at the breakfast buffet, which also had plenty of choices. Even for my young very picky eater. Hotel itself is located in an old building right in the center of Krakow. Along the way toward Marketplace are plenty of places to eat to chose from. We haven't tried the Hotel's restaurant so cannot attest to it but we looked at the menu and it also had plenty of good-sounding dishes to chose from. I am hoping to be back in Krakow in the future and if possible - stay this particular Hotel again.

The breakfast buffet was quaint, European style bread cheese coldcuts and some hot food like eggs and sausages. This was included. 3 blocks from the city center square.

A very clean and friendly hotel. Rooms where airy and spacious with air con and safe provided free of charge. Breakfast was lovely there was an excellent choice of food and drinks available and always topped up. The hotel location is great very central and would certainly recommend it.

Great Hotel with helpful staff. Our room was really lovely (deluxe triple room). Breakfast was good with egss/ bread/ fruit/ cereal/ cheese/ yogurts/ some meat/ fish etc. location was very convenient, only a 5-10 min walk to Main Market square. we took a trip to Auschwitz and the hotel packed a lunch for about £4/5 which was very convenient.

Beautiful Krakow Vacation
Hotel Maksymilian was excellent. The location was very close to the city center as well as a parking lot if you rent a car. The hotel itself was impeccably clean, the breakfast offered a great variety of choices, and the staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. I would stay again in an instant and recommend to anyone coming to Krakow.

your hotel is close too the main shopping area which is very good the only which I feel let's your Hotel down is the breakfast I don't enjoy this there needs to be more English style breakfast available but apart from this everything else was wonderful thank you Paul.

quirky hotel with character in a good location.
we visited in october and liked it so much we returned. If you want lots of space opt for a triple room. We chose a smaller room and were pleased with the cleanliness and balcony. This is a lovely friendly place where nothing is too much trouble when you need help. The hotel is a designated pick up point for out of town trips which is handy and they will happily arrange taxis or trips for you on arrival. You are near enough to the old town and we enjoyed walking around.The whole area is safe and families or singles should have no concern staying here. The buffet breakfast is plentiful and the on site restaurant good value, serving Polish dishes with daily specials. If you want a Travel lodge style hotel this is not for you but if you like rooms with character and feel you need English speaking staff then you will not be disappointed. Kindly they store your luggage until you leave for the airport on your last day too.

Great Location
This Hotel was close to the old city center so the location was great. The room we had slept four and one of the beds was a pull-out which was uncomfortable. There were 3 other single beds and the room itself was fairly spacious. Unfortunately the room was on the street side of the building on the first floor and a trolly line/ light rail ran on the street, so it was not as quiet as we would have liked. I assume the rooms facing courtyard are quieter. We arranged car service from the airport through the hotel, both ways and were satisfied with the service. The receptionist spoke English. We had beers and then dinner one night in the courtyard which was enjoyable. Breakfast buffet was in a downstairs dining area and we enjoyed that as well. I would book again, if I could get a non-street side room.

Excellent hotel for exploring Kracow
The hotel is situated close to the main market square, where there is plenty of choice for eating, drinking and people watching, and various performances by entertainers throughout the day and evening. The rooms are clean and perfectly adequate, and there is a courtyard to sit with a drink or a meal from the excellent value restaurant (food very good, well presented and better value than the most central places to eat). Breakfast is well laid out with the usual juices, cereals, cold meats and cooked bacon and eggs etc. The reception staff are particularly helpful and very pleasant,and seem to genuinely care about their paying guests with really great customer service. I booked guided trips to Auchwitz and the Salt Mine via the hotel and was picked up and dropped back there by the tour company. (Auschwitz obviously extremely harrowing but highly recommended and thought provoking, Salt Mines OK but rather too long to maintain interest throughout the guided tour). I would be happy to recommend this hotel as a very good value choice and will certainly use it again if I return to Krakow.

Shortvwalk to the main square or you could use the tram, which stops outside. The tram system is easy to use. Breakfast was good - something for everyone.
