Conveniently located wif Eateries and Cafes nearby
There are a lot of eateries around this hotel area and opposite of the hotel is Starling shopping Mal!! There are banks such as HSBC, Maybank and UOB located in this Uptown area. Room is clean and pleasant, however, droplets of water keeps dripping from the air conditioner.

Good room, facilities and location
Excellent room and attached bathroom. Spacious shower area. Functional room layout, good mattress and pillows. Added plus of pantry with hot water, microwave etc. Good for when you feel to lazy to walk out even though there are good eats just a stones throw away and the shoppong mall across the road.

Nice comfy bed (small room) clean & tidy with good toiletries. A long way from International airport but close to domestic airport. Good shopping & local eats with major centre across the road. Polite girl at reception.

Affordable room, closeby shops and mall,
nice setup close to a new mall. Great variety of shops nearby , lots of good food, convenience stores. Nice new mall just opposite, great cinema inside. There are 2 MRT stations within 30 minute walking distance (TTDI - Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, and Bandar Utama) Comfortable bed, nice tv with movies on. No issues with the wifi. Shower room has great rainfall shower , with option to switch to hanheld shower. Personally i would prefer white or brighter tiles in the bathroom so it would look larger and roomier. The shower splases outside, woud soak the floormat i got room 309 , it does not have a window. The only downside to that would be the inability to tell time, especially when its time to wake up. Would have also been nice if there was an easy way to control the room lights from the bed. Sufficient power points to charge laptop, phone , smartwatch, bluetooth earphones..no USB charging ports built in to the room though. I asked for an extension on the check out time and was granted a one hour extension. When i went to check out, i was informed the late check out would cause a RM 10 deduction from the deposit. There is a RM10 pernight deposit. Do ask in advance if there are any penalties for the extension. Check the air conditioner remote for the auto ON and OFF times. Also check the remote time. Mine turned off in the morning. i had to adjust the correct time and the ON / OFF times. Laundry is RM10 per kilo. Hand over in the morning, and get it back next morning.

Therefore, they may not have handled the situation properly. We are also in the midst of upgrading our facilities and amenities. Thank you very much for your kind understanding. You just have to ring us up or put a special remark while you make your bookings via Expedia or other travel agents. Ryokan, job well done!
Overall it was an okay stay at Ryokan, budget boutique hotel, no frill with basis breakfast provided. It is a reasonable boutique hotel. Service: Check-in no issue, the staff is helpful and willing to provide info. and help. Cleanliness: Reasonably clean, nothing to complain about. Comfort: Not great but not bad either, it is decent. Condition: Not too bad, still considered a new hotel, so the condition of this hotel is acceptable. Local area: Bustling, centre of the commercial hub of Damansara Utama Uptown. Full of choices of local foods, drinks, a brand new shopping mall, lots of shop, etc. If you enjoy being in the busy area (not noisy) this is the place to go.

Chic on a budget
Expected better beds and at least with more hair dryers on loan (was told to have all loaned out on first night stay). And many budget hotels (daily rate RM150 and below) would have at least provide unlimited refillable drinking water -- not water dispenser with 17-liter for entire floor.

Checked in late and was given a room immediately. The Aristocrat Room is nice and clean and spacious. If only there were more amenities like towels. Construction going on in front of the hotel even on Sunday morning that'll wake you up

Had a pleasant stay over here. Hotel is looks new and clean and definitely chic as mentioned. Staff was very helpful on my booking's complication, thankful that they kept the customers needs as a priority. Definitely recommending this place to others over here for a short period of time.

Short business trip
Good value for money. The location had taxi drivers stumped. Just tell them "DAMANSARA UPTOWN" and they. Should know where it is. Rooms were clean but the central air conditioning was a bit noisy. Location was a bit down market but relatively safe. Had nice eateries around the corner. Can't ask for too much for the price you pay, but for a place to sleep over, pretty decent. Will return.

Value budget hotel
For the price point of the hotel, it is actually one of the best I have stayed in. It is close to One Utama shopping centre. Plenty of eateries and shops nearby. The interior decor and settings are better than most other budget hotels.

Price is too high for the service attitude
This was my second time visited the hotel. The first time was quite ok. But when the second time, I required a second floor room due to some reasons. When i enter the room, i found out that the floor of the room full of holes. Why a hotel room floor full of holes? Because of these holes, the floor was sandy and it hurts my bear foot. Luckily they provided indoor slippers, if not I'm sure I will change my room. The staff in the reception desk check in speed is too show. I already made the full payment, just give me the access door car and I will pay you RM 50 immediately. Why need to drag this drag that?

Nice hotel with good security
a good stay for two night , level of sercurity is too good for a budget hotel. Lighting in the toilet is not enough but do not affect in daily usage. Overall is a good and pleasant stay.

Good Budget Hotel
This hotel is located in the heart of PJ Uptown. There are heaps of local restaurants and coffee shops around (even Maccas!). Public transport may be tricky. Although there are buses to 1Utama and Kelana Jaya, they are infrequent and not reliable. Taxi may not be easy to find. The Hotel does provide limited off-street parking for a fee. There is a free WiFi throughout the hotel with good speed. Hotel provides ipad at the lobby but no PC and no printer. No Laundry room but hotel have laundry service. Breakfast is complimentary but limited choice - Toast, biscuits, eggs and sometimes fruits and that's it. Rooms are generally clean with complimentary bottle water daily, tooth brush and towels. Aircon is great and TV is ok but limited channels. Room could be a bit dark (lack of reading lights) so pick a room with windows if you are those that may stay in the room other than sleeping. There is no lift so be prepared to walk the stairs (well 1-3 stories anyway)

The staff were quite rude for the most part. They were unsympathetic to fact that one member in my party had just recently broken her foot. Then our fruit brought from Korea was stolen. Not the best place to stay.
