"Cons - rickety tables & chairs, one bed was tilted to one side and appeared about to fall apart, no remote for tv, shower curtain inadequate for keeping water in shower & off floor, toilet didn’t function properly-slow or no flush. Pros - room was quaintly decorated (decor just needed a refresh-some furniture was showing its age), plenty of utensils, etc. in kitchen, good parking, central location. Not the fault of the motel, but Kure Beach is not a very enticing prospect - dirty, dead animals on beach, less than adequate facilities for a day at the beach. "

"You can tell that they are making efforts to modernize the rooms, so in that sense it was better than the pictures made it seem. The biggest gripe I have about my stay was the adjoining rooms and the zero sound insulation between the rooms. The whole week there were loud people in the room next to me that made it quite unenjoyable. The other thing that I don’t love is because they don’t always have a staff member working onsite, we were kicked out of the pool area because they were closing it at 5pm. In addition to that, my rental car was hit in the parking lot, which of course is not their fault, but the cameras that they have in the lot aren’t functional. It is a very convenient location if you want to explore the Kure beach and Carolina beach area, it’s too bad they have a giant ugly black pipe running the entire length of the beach but hopefully that won’t be around for too long. "

"The view was Okay considering we were on the first floor. Some things seemed a little dusty. Overall, we enjoyed staying there."

"Amazing beach location and fully equipped kitchen with top quality kitchenware. Sarah is so generous with her amenities I needed very little. We had a wonderful time. The first half of our time was beach weather which was great. The second half was cold and windy. This was good because the beach bulldozers came in front of condo the second half. We had a wonderful time and Sarah is a fantastic host. "

"This was actually the most perfect week we’ve ever had in Carolina/Kure. The house was perfect for us, which was me, my husband, my dad and our 3 kids (9, 6, and 5.) We’ve searched for the most perfect ocean view at a few other places and nothing beats this one. It’s close to everything, clean, kitchen is well equipped, beach chairs, you name it, it’s there. We loved it and can’t wait to go back!"

We did have one day of sunshine where we sat on the balcony and soaked up the rays and the sound of the waves! The property was clean and as described. Communication with the owners was amazing! "
