"We really enjoyed our stay at Cape Weligama Hotel. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were taken by buggy to our amazing room overlooking the garden. It was spacious and so was the bathroom. A short walk to the dining room for dinner and breakfast and we enjoyed being able to sit outside on the terrace for both. My husband went on a nature walk with a ranger around the property and was shown different plants and birds which he really enjoyed. In summary, we really enjoyed our stay here and can really recommend it."

"You will be asked to pay again onsite! Owner claims this site doesn’t pay her. Our choice was find a new place to stay or pay cash. Overall the stay was acceptable. It wasn’t the cleanest, we had a couple cockroaches as well. It was nice that the owner always had bottled water available for sale. The air conditioning in the bedrooms works great. There are a few amenities listed that are not available: shampoo/soap, traditional washing machine and the only bedding provided is a sheet and pillow. "

"The Moose is such a special place! The host Ashan is a wonderful man. I felt so welcomed and safe and taken care of my whole stay. Room was big, immaculately clean, hot shower. Owner was also always on hand for questions and helped out with taxis etc. Would recommend this hotel to everyone. Was sad to leave. "

"Absolutely loved this spot - amazing ocean views with a great swimming spot right outside. Accommodation is away from the hustle and bustle of Weligama but easy to reach via tuk tuk. Great spot for surfers looking to make the most of the local breaks up and down the coast."

"The stay here was great. Host very gracious. There are two separate bedrooms with double beds, a kitchen with a gas burner, refrigerator,dishes and pans, small dining room, patio with a day bed, washing machine. Bedrooms have a/c. Other rooms with ceiling fans. WiFi worked well. Host provided laundry detergent, shampoo, sun screen and mosquito repellent. He also provided us with some great meals. This is not high end, but my brother and I loved it. Would recommend to anyone wanting nice, comfortable, affordable lodging. "
