Even though there was a mix-up with our reservation, staff went out of the way to get us a room. Very friendly and kind. Location is at edge of town but transportation readily available.

Lovely place, good standard, wonderful owners

We loved our stay at this place! The owners make you feel at home the moment you step through the doors. They are extremely helpful and caring, and if we ever needed help with anything (like getting to the airport in Colombo), they fixed it. The breakfasts were nice, the standard of the hotel is very, very good. It's a short tuk tuk ride from the main beach in Weligama, or a little sweaty walk. There's a place to snorkel close to the hotel, and if you go for a little walk, there is a nice bay to go swimming next to a cliff of luxury houses, and you will probably see monkeys on your way there. I absolutely recommend this hotel, because the standard is really good, and as mentioned, the owners are lovely, and you can pay by card which is very convenient. The only "negative" is that we stayed for some days so there was alot of sand in our bathroom in the end, due to the limited cleaning.

Staying at Castle Bay Guesrhouse is like visiting your family. Kanthi and Kantha are very warm and welcoming and want to make their guests comfortable , happy snd well fed..Kanthi is a great cook and her dahl is the best. Rooms are well maintained and very clean. The location is walking distance from a beautiful beach and a short tuk tuk ride to restaurants and other beaches where you can surf or snorkel. We highly recommend this very economicak guest house .
