"Our family had a great three day stay at the property in mid August 2026. The condo was exactly as described in the listing, tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, with comfortable beds, couch seating area, and a large dining room table. We appreciated how well equipped the condo is with kitchenware as well as accessories such as throw blankets and pillows. The condo is a 2nd story corner unit in a building that has an elevated position on the hillside, providing wide open down-valley views. There is ample of covered deck space, which we enjoyed for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. The hosts were gracious and responsive, guiding us through the check-in process as well as following up to make sure we had a good visit. We enjoyed the Myrkdalen location, which is very scenic and has a natural setting. A Joker grocery store is 8 minute drive away, and there are 3 food options (2 hotel restaurants and 1 pizza restaurant) similarly close by. 35 minutes drive takes you to Voss, which has many stores and restaurants. We undertook 2 full day excursions from the condo, which were spectacular as far as fjord views, scenic waterfront villages, waterfalls, etc... We hope to be able to return for another visit in the future."

"This is a small guesthouse which is operated by the owners. They are very gracious and welcoming! It's an older building which has been renovated to modern standards. Sits directly across from the waterfront and the ferry dock. The ferries are battery operated and are surprisingly quiet."

"Schönes und sehr sauberes Ferienhaus in der Nähe von Vik am Sognefjord. Orte wie Flåm (Bahn) und Gudvangen (Fähre durch den Nærøyfjord) sind von hier aus gut erreichbar. Das Haus hat eine schöne Aussicht auf den Fjord - von einer Ecke der Terrasse. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Es gibt eine Geschirrspülmaschine, eine Waschmaschine und ein zweites WC, was sehr praktisch ist, wenn man mit mehreren Personen kommt. Schönes Wohnzimmer mit Küchenzeile. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Natürlich gibt es immer Kleinigkeiten zur Verbesserung: nur in einem Schlafzimmer gibt es einen Schrank, so dass alle anderen Gäste aus dem Koffer leben müssen. Völlig unverständlich ist, dass - wer auch immer - Brennholz gerade an der Stelle verstreut hat, an der man mit dem Auto rangieren muss. So kann man nur rückwärts die steile Auffahrt herauffahren. Außerdem sollte man genau das Kleingedruckte lesen, bzw. das, was dort nicht steht: das Haus verfügt nicht über WLAN/Wi-Fi, was für skandinavische Verhältnisse sehr unüblich ist und uns zum erstem Mal untergekommen ist. Und anders als angegeben, gibt es kein Fernsehen - zumindest ist der vorhandene Fernseher nicht an ein Netz-Kabel angeschlossen. Alles in allem geben wir eine positive Empfehlung für dieses Haus ab."

"The host, Ragnar, was incredible. He walked me through the property and showed me how use the TV remote and washing machine. Some things are different in Norway-I’m from the U.S. He explained fun things to do in the area and suggested to take my time on some Norwegian roads, expressing concern for safety. The location was perfect, close enough, 3.5 miles to Balestrand, yet quiet and private with an amazing view out the living room and kitchen. Washing machine worked great and I was able to keep my clothes clean. The kitchen had everything I needed, so I had the choice to eat in or out. Balestrand is such a beautiful area and I highly recommend this property to anyone vacationing in Balestrand.Bill Wesela from Michigan USA"
