We had an excellent stay at Kabin Taka. The room was spacious, quiet, and very clean. Rooms in Japan are notoriously pretty small, but Kabin had enough room for a small dining table and bath made this place feel like home. Bonus points for the easy laundry room, luggage storage and fantastic coffee shop in the lobby.

This hotel was decent. The location was fantastic. Close to a lot of fun streets, the Nishiki market, shopping, the river yet it was tucked away and quiet. It felt very safe. The laundry room is shared and busy but great to have. The kitchenette was very tiny and not well stocked. Ok for snacks but not to make meals. The beds were ok and pillows very thick and hard, not exactly comfy. The room was on the small side and dated compared to other similar hotels we stayed in. It felt a bit pricey for what it was (quite basic).

The staff were very friendly and helpful. East and quick check in. The property is walking distance to all the nice restaurants and shops and the fun food experience in Nishiki market. Also walkable to Gion district. Bed is comfortable, nice amenities, bathroom is big. Room is very clean. I highly recommend this hotel.
