The hotel is very well located to explore the area. The cabin was great and comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Costa Rica. Super recommended 👍

Great place to stay and a great location! The owner is very nice and helpful! Pool closes at 6 which seems early. Breakfast was good and you have 4 options to choose from. Would stay here again!

We loved the beautiful little cabin we stayed in. It was very spotless, quiet and private with beautiful gardens in front. The staff is very helpful. There is a lovely little nature trail we explored while waiting for our room to be ready early. The gardener showed us many beautiful plants and pointed out the sleeping sloth and the favourite tree of the toucans. The breakfast was lovely and the birdfeeders!

Hotel Faro Arenal was perfect for our family as we traveled with 4 kids to La Fortuna. The property was close to town, which was great for us as we shuttled between activities and nap time. The hosts/staff were super helpful and friendly - they gave us great recommendations for eating and on the first day they were quick to show us were to find a sloth in the back of their property! We loved spending the heat of the day in the pool, which was right out the door for us in our little cabin. The flora and birds on site were also great. We also looked forward to breakfast everyday and they offered us something for everyone. We'd definitely stay again!

Great for Families & Birders/Photographers

This was a great stay in the Arenal area. From the property there is a view of the volcano. I also loved that they maintain a nice nature trail. We saw six sloths, including a mother and baby sloth in it. There were also tons of birds, including hummingbirds along the trail. They have bird feeders at their restaurant, so you get to see many birds while eating meals. We really enjoyed the included breakfast. This stay was perfect for our family of five and a great location for birders/photographers. This stay was a good value and located near La Fortuna and close to La Fortuna Waterfall.

La comida excelente, la pizza a la leña de lo mejor 10/10. Limpieza y comodidad en las habitaciones. El único “problema” que tuvimos fue el wifi, era intermitente y muy lento. De ahí en fuera muy buen lugar y muy cerca de las cataratas de la fortuna.

Nossa casinha azul era uma graça, sempre limpa, confortável, com bastante espaço. Café da manhã com comida típica local, mas com opção de pedir pão, panquequinhas, ovos mexidos, iogurte e frutas (abacaxi e melancia). Café para beber a vontade. Para brasileiros, sempre acostumados com café da manhã com muita variedade, talvez deixe a desejar, este ponto. Estacionamento disponível. Hotel com muita natureza, pássaros sempre por perto e localização ideal. Próximo do centro e tambem próximo do parque nacional. Recomendo bastante!

It was a quaint no frills hotel perfectly situated in a quiet area near the town on fortuno. Breakfast was delicious. We were a 6 person family and fit comfortably in their six person suite. Would come again. Thanks for a great stay. Loved all the beautiful flowers and hummingbirds in the area.

It was a joy to stay two nights so near the volcano in such a beautiful place. The cabin was roomy, clean, and comfortable, the restaurant was excellent, and the grounds (including the "nature walk" in the jungle at the rear of the property) were spectacular. The owner and staff are great people too. I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation.

Beautiful property with sloths and little Al king trail on site. Staff was very friendly and helpful and individual cabins kept the stay quiet and a natural setting. About 5 min drive to town and restaurants, etc.
