"I suppose you get what you pay for. This was the only hotel available at the time. We cut our stay short just to leave. The season was over and most everything was closed."

"The apartment is in Hameaux 1 block, with the ski-in entrance adjacent the La Casa d'Ours bar/restaurant, the ski pass office, ski hire shop Sport 2000 and the offices of the ESF. And another 25m from the Spar shop. Pull out beds in the lounge could have slept 2 (but we didn't use them), 2 bedrooms on the first floor sleep another 4 between them, and then up a ladder a very bijou further space could sleep 1 or two more in the roof. It was immaculately presented and clean; the kitchen was amazingly appointed (dishwasher, washing machine, electric fondu, raclette, toaster, kettle, mini-oven, microwave and plenty of pots and pans), cutlery for way more than 6. There was ample cleaning materials for us to use even though we brought our own. Very happy! Would love to stay again. Thank you for a hassle-free stay...."

"We had a great week. The chalet is really close to the lifts which take you up to the La plagne ski area but you can also really easily cross to Les arcs. Montchavin is low so I don’t think the nursery slope in front of the chalet is often open but when it is you could ski almost to the door! Village is small but has a few restaurants (including the one run by the host - La bovate- which had delicious food!), small supermarket, bakery and ski hire places - everything you need unless you need nightclubs! Chalet really spacious and well equipped- including boot heaters which I wasn’t expecting. We hope to go back again."

"This is a good sized apartment and is great for 8 people, maybe not so much for 10 but the lounge area is very spacious and the kitchen is spacious and really well equipped, I have never seen over 10 frying pans! The stairs are steep and about 5 stories overall on various levels so not good for anyone not wanting this and is tiring but this is just something to note in your choice. We left our skis etc in the garage on the ground floor. We had 2 cars so one was parked in front of the garage, there were free spaces in front of the bar les Mines we managed to grab for the 2nd car. The bedrooms are all good, just a shame that the 4th bedroom only has a curtain separating it, this caused a problem when we used the fireplace and for noise. The 2 bathrooms have nice showers, the only small inconvenience is that the downstairs shower doesn't have a radiator for drying towels and no extractor fan either, this bathroom therefore started to smell of damp mid way through the week. We hired towels and linen as coming from aboard, quite expensive but the only thing we could do. We were provided all double sheets and duvet covers for single beds which was a little strange but was clean and fresh. Overall these are small points, the apartment is very well decorated and equipped and close to ski lift (200m). Would recommend."

"The chalet was perfect for a big group of 11 men (and room for more!), 5 minute walk from La Roche ski lift. There is a bar and ski hire at the bottom of the lift, although no shop, so we drove up to Plagne centre each morning. Communication with Audrey is exceptional, she is extremely attentive and answers your queries quickly. The living room is great for communal dining and evening entertainment (we played lots of cards). The Olympic bobsleigh is a short walk up the hill."

"We enjoyed staying at the hotel. Location is very good with shops , restaurants, ski schools within 6mins walking distance. There is sauna and steam room in the hotel which is really good after a long day of skiing. Breakfast is ok with reasonable options. "

"The chalet was lovely but a proper hike to get to it. The listing is very misleading when it says 1 min walk or ski in / ski out. You have to do a walk to and from the bus stop which is a hike after a day skiing. Or a long walk through the woods in the dark which is 20 minute walk as the bus only comes once an hour. It was a surprise that we had to make our own beds when we got there with sheets and duvet covers that dont fit!! Plus there was a lack of basics thatbyou would expect in a nice chalet like this such as toilet rolls! When it was leaving day, the cleaner or host was one if the rudest woman i have met. She actually messaged us in the morning to tell us to put the laundry on for her for all the bedding before she arrived! We were all gob smacked. She tried to kick us out at 9.30am even though the vooking listing says 11am. We stayed untill 10.55am whenthe taxis come. Overall - great chalet but wrong location for a family holiday. Spend a bit more and get closer to the lifts, bars, restaurants and shops etc."

"Honestly we were a bit concerned reading some of the reviews before our trip but our stay was fine! Reception staff friendly, check in and out process easy. The room was clean and tidied daily, breakfast was good. Nice balcony views. Sauna not working during our stay but other spa facilities were fine. No boot dryers in the ski lockers which would be a good thing to improve on."
