On arrival we were offerred a room on the 2nd Floor - we found this to be in he eaves of the building (sloping ceiling) which meant that the shower was set at about 1.70m max height - too low for comfort foran average sized man. We exchanged rooms without out any problem for one on the First Floor (so we didn't have that problem to contend with) however once again the size of the bathroom (floor area) meant that I had to squeeze my back against the sink to enable the door to be opened. The toilet is tight against the wall leaving little room for comfort or manoeuvre. No a/c or fan on a hot evening in a small bedroom!

Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry that your stay did not live up to your expectations. However, the surface area of the rooms and our bathrooms corresponds to the standards of a 3-star hotel. Concerning the absence of air conditioning, the information is well stipulated on our various sites.

Would stay again
Location is convenient being 5-10 mins drive to restaurants and beaches. Staff friendly and helpful. Only downside is the limited food availability in the evening with no real restaurant but plenty around as mentioned.

Room disappointing,great breakfast,friendly staff
Friendly staff and lots of parking. Top room was under the roof/eaves (and unless you are very very short) it is very easy to knock your head on the ceiling ...same in the shower, makes it difficult to shower. Room not very big and looks out on the big road, very noisy. 24hour reception meant no fear of being unable to check in if the ferry was arriving late. Overall, disappointing due to the room. Great breakfast and friendly staff .

Windowless, hot, unclean family room.
1. Family room didnt have a window so was dark, dingy and hot. 2 Room hadn't been cleaned properly (bin was left full of used nappies) 3. Restaurant didn't serve evening meals and when we asked they said that we couldn't bring our own food onto the terrace to eat - we were told we would have to eat in our windowless family room that didnt have any table to eat at. 4. No restaurants within easy walking distance so the fact that the hotel restaurant doesnt serve evening meals is pretty rubbish. No idea why other people have left ok ratings - they must have low standards. Save yourself the disappointment and stay at another budget hotel.

We are surprised by your comment about the cleanliness of the room because we are vigilant about it and you did not come to tell us about it.We have a snack bar open 24 hours a day it's written on the booking site, jars and pizzas are served at the request of customers. This is why we do not accept outside food. In addition you have 2 restaurants around, at 10 minutes by walk that we indicate at the reception when we are asked.

It was great. Quiet, despite proximity to road. Rooms small but clean. Feel slightly claustrophobic but ok. Breakfast and view at breakfast is lovely Good to have black out blinds.

The hotel is in good condition and the staff is very friendly and helpful if need be. The room itself was clean and the bed comfortable. The only downside is that the bathroom is a bit on the small side - other than that it was a very pleasant stay!

It is extremely convenient to the ferry. The lady on reception was fantastic (I didn't get her name, dark hair, slim, not a local). She was very enthusiastic, gave great wine advice and some guidance re local eating places. My partner left her handbag in the sitting area at about 11:30 PM but next day it was safely at reception, thank you all. We were sad to find that the once excellent kitchen and superb sea food evening meal had gone ... frankly the memory of it some 2 years ago was a major factor in our booking here again. Breakfast was good but the evening offerings to microwave did look just a little better than having to order a takeaway. For tourists like us its a shame, you have a nice dining area and bar, great views across the sea ... this could possibly even be a destination for locals with such very good facilities. In time I do hope you consider bringing back your excellent kitchen. The staff we met on our stay are a credit to you and the lady on reception ... well if she was in England we'd have wanted to employ her!

I arrived early for check in, girl on reception was very pleasant and she managed to let me check in early and my room was ready. I really appreciated that. Position overlooking the estuary is lovely, so a glass of wine on the veranda was perfect. A clean and quiet room with a landline phone was also very restful.

Welcomed by very accommodating & friendly receptionist. Room good for overnight stay before catching ferry. Only downside was no opening window other than one in bathroom. Fan provided but no air conditioning. Accessible with direct access to car park.

Route de Rock
We stayed at the hotel while we were visiting the Route de Rock festival. It was very comfortable and convenient, the staff were lovely and the breakfast was excellent. We loved the crepes and home made jam.

Fantastic location and views from the terrace. Staff lovely and helpful. Disappointed that no evening meals are available in the hotel. You have to drive to Dinard to find fresh food. Road works makes access to the hotel quite difficult and confusing

Great location for St Malo port, 15 minutes to port (road improvements currently mean a diversion is in place which adds 10 minutes, but this is well signposted - allow extra time for this if you have an early sailing). Family room with direct access from car park - we could park right outside our room which was handy. Room was very basic (no tea coffee, but this was free and available in the dining room). The room was very clean, good shower and a hairdryer, shampoo, soap provided. Would stay again.

The hotel is a rare find, excellent facilities, pleasant friendly staff, bright clean decor. Room was very comfortable, bathroom was a slightly on the small size but adequate, breakfast was reasonable value with plenty of variety. Good parking, finding the hotel can prove a problem due to ongoing roadworks, however they have signposted the route, fortunately we had already read about the problems accessing it and chose an alternative route. Overall a very pleasant experience👍

Dreadful roadworks
Major roadworks make this hotel impossible to approach without significant detour that is poorly marked. Hotel staff are indifferent to the problems that this causes simply because they know their way around the backstreets. Rumour has it that the roadworks will continue until the end of 2018. Poorly situated hotel. Not one I would recommend.

The Hotel was located in plain sight, however roadworks meant following diversions which was not easy because they stopped after a couple of directions. Once found, the Hotel was nicely located, wonderful views, great service and very pleasant staff. The one drawback - no drinks making facilities in the rooms, they were provided at reception free of charge, if you wanted to go there during the night say. That aside, everything else was more than could be expected for the price paid and we would certainly return after having this first experience. One more thing I should say, there wasn't a restaurant for evening meals. I believe this was because of the roadworks (going on for over a year we were told) and maybe there will be at a later date. However, breakfast was very good and plentiful, with lots of choice on a help yourself basis.

Convenient stop over for st malo port.
We just used this as a stopover before sailing from st malo and for this it’s ideal. We had a family room which was spacious and comfortable. We also had the breakfast in the morning which was a good comprehensive offering.

Good, but a touch expensive.
We've been before and liked it, so we decided to come back. We spent £100 on one room for four, which was quite expensive. Two years ago it was £70ish, which is about right. The junction outside is being remodelled, so access us a bit tricky at the moment. We didn't have the breakfast today as we were on an early ferry, butbut we know from last time it's great.

They have closed off the main road permanently now so you need to find your way through a village. Google maps refused to show another route as it was there.... With a no entry sign. OK for a two star.

Nice enough hotel. Terrible access - standard one way entry is closed and no signage to tell you, re-route is ridiculous!! Took 40 minutes from being next to hotel to work out how to access it. Restaurant closed too, which is advertised as a facility!!
