"Greeted by friendly doorman then friendly staff at reception. Room was nice and big, clean and tidy. Breakfast buffet had plenty of delicious options and friendly staff. Highly recommended hotel close to a lot of cafe's and restaurants and Copacabana Beach. Recommend all you can eat buffet not far from the hotel called Garfo. Also ask for late check out if your flight is late it's worth paying a little extra 😊"

"Visited for 5 days in September for the NFL game. The room was clean and the bed was huge. The shower had an unreasonable amount of mold. Roof top restaurant/bar is very nice. The restaurant would not accommodate our party of 5 for breakfast. The restaurant was NOT busy and plenty of empty tables were visible. It took 2 days for us to get an iron. The hotel only had a certain amount of irons that they share amongst all of the rooms. One has to continue asking before getting lucky enough to find an iron. We attempted to order something "Togo" for a sick person who didn't want to leave the room. We were told by the rooftop and restaurant that we could not. Bell men were courteous and extra helpful."

"I had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana. From the moment I arrived, the service was excellent. The doormen were always so helpful getting me in and out of the car, which I really appreciated. The restaurant was excellent, and the service there was consistently attentive and professional. I also have to give a special mention to the room service. It was spot on every single time — my orders were always accurate, delivered promptly, and the staff were so friendly, kind, and always arrived with a smile. That really stood out to me during my stay. The hotel and my room were very clean and beautifully maintained. I also had a gorgeous view of the beach, which made the stay feel even more special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept very well as far as the comfort of the room itself. The only downside was the outside noise. There was quite a bit of street noise, as well as noise coming from the military facility across the street. I realize this really isn’t the hotel’s fault and is simply part of the location, but it is something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper. Overall, I had a very positive experience. The kindness and professionalism of the staff, the excellent service, the food, the cleanliness, the beautiful beach view, and the comfort of the room made my stay very enjoyable. I would absolutely stay at the Fairmont again."
