Enjoy spending some time at this charming two-bedroom cottage on Lake Leelanau. This cozy lake house offers comfortable lodging for up to 4 guests. The living room has plenty of seating overlooking the pretty lake views. There is wall-unit air conditioning and a wood-burning fireplace.

No more than 4 guests are allowed; however, there is a bunk house with one twin bed and twin bunk beds if guests want to spread out. The bunkhouse does not have a kitchen or bathroom.

Enjoy the spacious, great outdoors. Walk out the door to a deck with comfortable outdoor seating and enjoy beautiful sunsets and fall color views. The huge yard is perfect for outdoor games. 100' of shoreline includes a dock and boat hoist, which has a 3000 lb. limit. Three kayaks are included, too! Fire pit. Gas grill.

Located minutes from the village of Lake Leelanau. Here, you can pick up groceries and visit wineries, a distillery, antique shops, and restaurants. There is a boat launch just a couple of miles from the house. Suttons Bay and Leland are about 10 minutes away.

Your well-mannered pet is welcome. One dog only, please.

Absolutely Beautiful!

This Beautiful Beach House was perfect.Amazing sunsets, lake view, quiet , and so peaceful. My daughter and I had an incredible time. Lake house is small but adorable! And close to shopping area. Definitely worth it and we will be back!

Reviewer Comments: This is our 5th year at Leelanau Blue - it is our home away from home for a glorious week every July and the perfect spot for our family vacation Up North. It's comfortable, casual and right on Lake Leelanau. From coffee outdoors at the start of the day to euchre and rummikub on the deck at the end of the day, we all love it here. Sugarloaf - The Old Course is close by for golf, and Suttons Bay and Leland are a quick drive. Our son and his fiance love the wineries and trails throughout the area, and now go to Blu in Glen Arbor as part of their vacation. It's just a perfect spot for our home base. And the folks at Up North Vacation Rentals are the absolute best - responsive, engaging and friendly whenever we call and quick to deal with any concerns. We may be biased, but we wouldn't trade our week here for anything!

The house was perfect for a group our size, and the location is convenient to everything up north. We swam, boated, read on the deck, watched the Olympics. The house had everything we needed -- dishes, kayaks, comfy seating indoors and out, fire pit, big yard -- except I didn't notice in the listing that there's no washer/dryer; wasn't an issue once we went shopping, but something to keep in mind when you pack.

Great view of sunset. Very nice cottage, welll equipped and comfortable beds Well located for visiting the western side of Grand Traverse Bay We should have checked when leaves had max color change. We wanted to have fireplace blazing and settle down with good book. Weather was comfortably warm and a fire was not needed. Quiet neighborhood. Everywhere we stayed on the trip had lowest grade TP ever created. WHY. charge $3/dat more

5 days at Leelanau Blue

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had the best time with our 2-year-old and yellow lab staying in the Leelanau Blue house. The house itself was extremely clean and so cute— we loved the cute design of the place as well as some of the creature comforts like the heated bathroom tile and blackout shades. The property was also beautiful— a nice yard, a sturdy dock, and a very convenient boat lift. The property Is in a great location, too. We spent time in Leland right around the corner, Sutton’s Bay only 7 minutes away,, and some quick trips to Traverse city.

Perfectly Peaceful

The pictures for this place are wonky. They need to get rid of the old pictures, because it is beautiful inside. All redone. It really is a lovely place. It was private and peaceful because it was late fall and no one was up there. Now in the summer, I can imagine there being no privacy because the properties are very close to each other. You can’t get a better location for visiting wineries. Make sure to visit L Mawby Vineyards!! We stayed here for a girls weekend. Loved the real wood fireplace inside. There was wood kind of scattered around the property, so make sure you look for some there before you buy any. They had salt and pepper but that’s about it for cooking. They have a ton of pots, pans, sheet pans, etc.. The beds were comfy. The shower head is great. Looking forward to staying here again. It was really nice to wake up and see the foggy lake every morning.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The interior of the Leelanau Blue cottage is modern & updated & was very clean. Two bedrooms, one is comfortable the other is tight on space. There is A/C but many of the windows lack screening so opening at night is not an option. The location is unbeatable, close to Suttons Bay and Leland. Ample outdoor furniture exists & is in good condition. There are 5 large tree stumps in the yard which pose a danger issue for kids playing & the dock was broken down at the seawall but passable. There is no ladder to get in/out of the water which made egress very difficult. The dock also had a lot of duck & seagull feces down near the end by the boat hoists.

The furnishings were up to date and excellent quality. Comfy beds and sheets. Just one bathroom but it was very nice.The view was perfect. Loved the kayaks but we had to pull them out from side yard and clean them before using.Upon arrival, I opened garbage and recycle bins to find the previous renter’s recyclables. There was no liner in the garbage, so I used a spare grocery bag. After walking barefooted, my family and I noticed the floors had dirt/ sand on them. I vacuumed the floors myself. Whoever cleaned the cottage is doing a disservice to the owners. It’s a beautiful place and lack of cleaning started our visit off on the wrong foot. Everything else was very clean. The water pressure in the kitchen sink was very low. Not a big deal, but with no dishwasher, it made doing dishes a little more tedious. The positives far outweighed the negatives. This place is a little gem!

The cleaning crew needs to vacuum the couch and the brown ottoman in front of the couch, especially if the previous renters had a dog that sheds. Wife also spotted a few cobwebs on the ceiling. Great communication from Up North Vacation Rentals. I would stay there again.

Absolutely beautiful!! This place had charm and character. It was spotless. We enjoyed our time by the fire and outside in the sun. Very spacious lot. Comfortable beds and our pups loved it.

On the lake

Leelanau Blue is charming as described, the view of the lake and sunsets were beautiful. My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing week.The only complaint we had was the dog and cat hair that was on the pillows and floors.

We vacation in October and are treated to a colorful display that gets better every day. Additionally, the location is perfect for the things we like to do, restaurants where we eat, groceries, wineries, etc. And for days when we just want to relax, knit, read cook and eat in, the cottage is perfect for that.

The cottage has everything we need for a comfortable, pleasing vacation. We come the first week in October and this year the weather was cold and rainy several days, but we stayed in the cottage and read, knitted and played games, all while enjoying the wonderful view. Writing this review reminds me that I need to book it for next year.

Our Great Escape

First on Otsego Lake in Gaylord with my children's great grandparents and now the Leelanau Peninsula. This is by far the best vacation rental in these many years. Quiet, so well appointed and dog friendly. This is our second year and we will gladly stay return.
