Home is nicely furnished and has a large covered patio area. The patio has a wet bar and plenty of seating over looking the solar heated salt water pool and canal. There is Cable TV, Wireless internet and wireless printer/scanner. Sleeps 10, 8 in beds 2 more on inflatable mattresses. Master bedroom has king bed and master bath has jetted tub and shower. There is another full bath and three other bedrooms, one with a king the second has a queen and the other has 2 twin beds. Driveway has room to park your boat trailer with plenty of room left for your vehicle. 4 vehicle limit. Please park in the garage or driveway. Do not park in front of neighbors yards. Absolutely no parties/events.

We have been renting homes all over Florida for 25 years. From St Augustine to the Keys. This was the best we have ever encountered. This was my family’s 3rd time at Dan’s beautiful home. We think of it as our summer home! There is everything you could possibly need to have a great time. If we were awake we were in the beautiful pool! I appreciate the crockpot that Dan has, it made dinners so easy after swimming all day! Dan is a wonderful host! I have had good and bad experiences renting vacation homes for our family trips, this one was absolutely the BEST rental I have ever had!! The house was spotless, quiet, safe, and so comfortable it was honestly like home away from home. The kitchen had everything you would need and then some, the beds were comfortable and warm. The kids loved the pool, and I could have just sat on the back patio for a full day gazing out at the pool and canals. Could not have asked for a better lace to stay.

Fourth Year in a Row.

This was our 4th year in a row. Staying at Dans lake house is becoming a family tradition. Just like the previous 3 years, year 4 was just as great. This home is the perfect lake house. Beautiful Placid Lakes...again

Can't say enough good things about this property and its owner. This is our second time coming, this time for 2 weeks. The quiet is one thing, and the fishing is another, but the home is perfect. It has everything you need to have all the comforts of home, and the view is awesome. We brought our boat and spent a lot of time on Lake June, but also visited Lake Istokpoga for part of a day. The community is lovely with all the murals, and the small town has a lot of things to visit and eateries. We loved that the community was so friendly also. Everything is close by, so trips to the food store were easy. The owner communicates quickly, and anytime you need anything or have issues, he addresses them immediately. We would love to make Lake Placid our home some day, but in the meantime, we will be visiting here again. Thank you to the owner for sharing your amazing home with us.

Paradise Found

If I could give this 100 stars, I would do so. The home is on a quiet cul-de-sac, and a perfect location on the canal. If you are boating or fishing, the lake is just 2 short blocks away and the fishing is great. We caught plenty of bass while here. The boat house was perfect to keep our boat out of the weather. The home is clean, well-stocked, and just makes you feel like you came home. We spent a lot of time in the pool which also was very clean and well kept (bonus pool noodles and toys!). Communication by the owner is exemplary! Quick responses to every question or concern. Lake Placid town is so cute with all the shops and murals! Be sure to go into the Chamber of Commerce and see the mural gallery with short video on all of the murals in town, and buy the book. Everything is very close by and convenient. We hope to come back to Lake Placid, and if so, this will be the place.

Where in the heck is Lake Placid, FL?!

We had a nice time in Lake Placid and exploring the area around it. The house was nice and roomy enough for our group of 8. The kids loved the pool! This time of year (December) is was more of a polar plunge but the kids didn’t mind. I think the “heated” pool is a bit of a stretch. Also the listing notes a hot tub but there isn’t one. Otherwise, we were very happy with the accommodation of the place. We grilled a couple of nights and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed including spices and condiments that you don’t always think to buy at the store. We loved sitting out by the pool on the morning and evening watching the birds settle in the tress at dusk. Visiting this part of FL is no Disney vacation but we prefer it that way and enjoyed spending time amongst the natural beauty of the area. We didn’t bring a boat with us but did go kayaking in the Kissimmee River one day which was very lovely.
