It was a great day and a very private and secluded area. Plenty of room for everybody and plenty of ways to relax. I would recommend this rental to anyone.
Host was very welcoming and quick to respond to messages. Amenities were awesome, so helpful to have all the necessary kitchen appliances and small wares. The indoor wood stove and the outdoor fire pit were great to use, and made it very cozy. Living room was very spacious and the coffee table was big enough for games. The porch is a dream for relaxing and the house was large enough that we didn’t feel cramped with 8 people there. The creek was fun to play in. The whole experience was very peaceful and I would highly recommend.
Excellent stay! The home is well equipped with everything that is needed. Large enough for several guests to enjoy separate activities such as television or game playing. This was a very clean VRBO. Updates noted such as a low decibel Bosh dishwasher, televisions in multiple rooms and nice clothes washer/dryer. We were not able to use the beautiful deck due to inclement weather. However, this would serve multiple guests comfortably. Bedrooms had space heaters to compliment the two mini-split units. Therefore, sleeping was comfortable with the cooler weather. This home is dog friendly with two large kennels that were much appreciated. Several extras were noted that are not always found in rentals that were welcomed. Items such as extra hooks for miscellaneous items, a huge candy bowl filled with candy and fresh fruit upon arrival. We could tell that extra thought had gone into this home and it was appreciated. This is not a negative to the home but it is remote. If you are looking for someplace near stores and restaurants then expect at least a twenty minute drive with winding roads. If you are looking for a quiet well stocked home that is in the vicinity of hiking and fishing this is a gem.
This place is absolutely wonderful. My wife and I did an extended stay here and loved it.Casey and Eric were extremely easy to communicate with and great hosts. They provided good directions to find the place, recommended stuff to do in the area, and always responded quickly. They even lent me some tools when my car battery died. The property is very much secluded. There are a couple of neighbors, but you can’t really see any other homes or anything. There’s a great deck where we would drink our coffee every morning.Inside was great. Big living room with comfortable furniture. Kitchen stocked with everything you need. Each bedroom has its own attached bathroom, and there’s an extra toilet in the laundry room. Very comfortable and cozy for rainy July days. When not cozying up inside, it was about 30min drive into Brevard. Or 30ish in the other direction there was Gorges state park for hiking. Also shorter drive to go tubing on the French Broad out of Rosman, NC. Also near the house there is a little swimming hole at the bottom of the hill that we went to multiple times. No cell service at the house but there is WiFi so we were able to use that for calling/comminication. My wife and I work remote and the WiFi worked for that. Our accounting software ran a littlen sluggish, but email and all “normal” internet activities was totally fine. All in all it was an incredible stay. Highly recommend!!
We had a great weekend! Thank you for letting us borrow your home! It was a great location for us, we were coming in for a wedding at Lake Toxaway! Appreciate your quick helpful responses!
This is a down to earth, well loved, secluded, quiet home for a family adventure. The stove kept the house more than comfortably warm, despite the outside 25*F cold. There was a gracious plenty of space for the whole family and then some. Climbing the mountain at night can be trying the first time, but arriving at a wonderful cozy home with a blazing fire in the stove opened our trip wonderfully! Start to finish, our stay was great. Thanks!
Very cute, comfortable cottage. Quiet and relaxing. Only negative is there was no instruction for operating TV. And possibly more detail on heater settings? Would of been nice to have some info about hiking or things to do in the area. Over all really enjoyed our stay. We left relaxed and rested.
Our stay was awesome. House was very nice & had absolutely everything u needed plus more…air hockey was great for a competitive family, plenty of firewood, 4 river tubes. Convenient location probably 15 minutes off of hwy 64, then another 15 to brevard, lake toxaway, sapphire, etc. Winding mountain rd takes u out n the country for some privacy but the roads were wider and nicer, easier to navigate than many typical mtn roads imo. Plenty of hiking, waterfalls, tubing nearby. 5 minutes from west fork of French broad River if u wanna trout fish. Trout farm close by for the lazy fishermen or kids like us. Host was very helpful & always responded very quickly to any questions. Stayed 5 days, wish we could’ve stayed longer as there was still a few things in the area I wanted to do.
