Awesome Getaway

We spent 5 days at Lori and David's house on the lake. It was wonderful...Lori and David made it so personable...keeping in touch and making sure that we were happy. The communication is certainly above any other.

Amazing Waterfront home

We had a great time once again. Love staying with Shasta Lakeshore Retreat. Their homes are great with amazing views. We enjoyed watching the deer in front of the house each evening. Super close to Sugarloaf marina. Looking forward to our next trip!

Gorgeous views and relaxing enviroment

This cabin has a gorgeous view of Lake Shasta and surrounding hills. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Lori and Dave are wonderful and caring hosts. A couple of issues came up and they solved them quickly. I would definitely book with Shasta Lake shore Resort again.

Best time ever

Hello everyone, just stayed at Shasta retreat and had the greatest time ever! The cabin is so cozy, clean and relaxing. We enjoyed the hot tub, swimming in the the lake, kayaking , making s’mores on the deck and a breathtaking view of the lake. Lori and Dave are wonderful hosts and we appreciate them sharing their piece of paradise with us. Thanks again and look forward to next summer and many more!

Amazing Stay in Lake Shasta

We had an extraordinary visit to Lake Shasta. This retreat was everything we hoped it would be. The views were spectacular and the retreat was in great shape. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out and relax. We took advantage of the short walk to the marina and the ability to use the kayaks provided. We definitely plan on returning soon! And special thanks to Lori for all that she did to communicate with us before and during our stay to make sure everything was going well.

Great Place

We had a great time staying at the Shasta Retreat Cabin 1. It was impeccably clean, with an amazing location. We kayaked and paddle board, enjoyed the hot tub among the stars, and even watched the NBA finals. We had s’mores after a long day on the lake with the pit on the deck. Go! While the lake is tip-top!!!

First time at Shasta

We had a wonderful time, had the place to ourselves for most of the week! The lake was a short walk down the hill and the home was beautiful! Loved the views, the deer, and the neighborhood! The whole area had a chill vibe to it, maybe because it was at the end of summer, but that’s what I loved most! Relaxed in the hot tub and loved seeing the stars during the clear cool nights! Will definitely be returning next year! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

Perfect spot for our family!

We have been coming to Shasta for 15 years, we have done cabins, many houseboats and decided to mix it up this year. This house didn’t disappoint. The owners are very helpful, accommodating and quick to respond. It had a beautiful view, I loved cooking lakefront and it had everything we needed. Slip parking was easy and everyone so friendly. Another great week on the best lake! We will be back

Most Relaxing Vacation I Ever Had

We stayed in Retreat #1 - More than enough room for the four of us. Our family vacation was so wonderful that we were all sad to leave. Lori is an amazing host. She was responsive, communicative and very nice! The home was extremely clean and had all the amenities of home. The master shower was so good too. Great water pressure! Our son went paddling on the lake and used the kayaks. He caught a lot of little fish, which he threw back, and a large catfish. The living room view of the lake is so picturesque. It’s remarkable to wake up and get to see that kind of beauty in the morning. Thanks again Lori and Dave for such a perfect family getaway. We hope to be back soon!

Great place to stay at Shasta.

We just returned from four nights in Retreat #1 at Shasta Lakeshore Retreats. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. We (three adults, three kids) found the house clean, nicely decorated, and well-equipped. The views of the lake off the back decks were gorgeous. Lori and Dave (the owners/managers) were so kind and accommodating and have done a great job with all the houses they manage. Sugarloaf Marina is close, which is nice, but we found the marina was not as well-run or maintained as the Lakeshore Retreats. The slips are shared, which made them tight, especially for larger wake boats. They are also short, and several cleats are either broken or missing so securing the boat was a bit challenging. If I had it to do again, I would just anchor in the cove behind the house and skip the slip rental. We give the marina one star, but Lakeshore Retreats five stars. Thanks Lori and Dave!

Great stay!

The lakeside retreat is situated about 30 mins north of Redding CA. The house is bright, cheerful, comfortable and very functional. We stayed there with our two teenage kids and dog. The kids were delighted to take up residency in the downstairs bedrooms, bathroom and hang out area. The upstairs (the level you enter on) has kitchen with counter seating, master bedroom, small dining table and couch. The kitchen, while small, is very functional and has everything you could need, in terms of equipment, short of a personal chef! The house is bit the older but it’s clear the owners take great care of everything. The linens were clean, soft, smelled lovely. The house is on the rocky shores of lake Shasta and we were lucky enough to be there when the lake was full. We took the paddle board and kayaks down and enjoyed a great deal of time on the lake. Afterwards, we’d jump in the hot tub to unwind or chill out on the deck enjoying the view. The owners/rental company left souvenirs (T-shirts, can cozies, bottle of wine) which really made the trip extra special. I really appreciate their attention to detail and how much consideration they give to property. This house was perfect for us and we look forward to the next time we can get back there.

Tufts Lake Shasta Vaca-2023

You will be very happy if you rent this house for your Shasta trip!! Our 2023, Lake Shasta family vacation was absolutely the best because we stayed at Shasta Lake House Retreat #1. Shasta Lake House #1 is on the lake, in a perfectly protected cove behind Sugarloaf Marina. The house is located on a quiet road with great parking in the long driveway for our large truck & our sons car & for the boat trailer at the road level, on a large gravel pad. By chance we met the owners, Lori & David as we were turning onto the road & wondering "can we turn around with our boat & trailer at the end of the road?" The answer is "YES"! Lori & David are the perfect hosts & are the nicest people. They really take pride in their property & care that you are happy with your stay in their home. Shasta Lake House #1 was the perfect size for our group, even for our pooches who came along. There is seating upstairs & downstairs for quite a few people. 2 bathrooms, 1 upstairs & 1 downstairs. Three bedrooms, 2 downstairs & the main bedroom upstairs, all with very comfy beds. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals. The lake views from the back decks are absolutely breathtaking! The decks have lots of seating to take in all the beauty of the lake. We were able to anchor our boat right behind the house in the protected cove & the path from the house to the boat was quick & easy access to the lake for lots of boating fun. You'll love this house for your Lake Shasta vacation too! .

Family Birthday Trip

We stayed at Retreat 1 for our son's birthday. Great location, easy access to water. House was super cute and clean. Nice having master bedroom upstairs and then rest of bedrooms downstairs. Had a great time and Lori and Dave were incredible checking in and answering any questions I had. Definitely will be coming back again. We already booked another of their homes for next weekend.

Best view and home ever!!

Loved every minute of our time at Lake Shasta! Went in 2016 for 7 days and the accommodations were so supreme that we booked a 10 day slot this year 2017! Highly recommend 😀
