"I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful this property is. The beach is just a few steps away and Whaler’s Village was a short 15 minute scenic walk with shopping and various dining options. "Great unit and location. As others stated the unit is dated but it was very clean and has everything you need as well as extras like beach equipment, chairs, a cooler and lots of kitchen essentials. "We had a fabulous time in Maui- because how can you not?! That being said, we have stayed at several other resorts across the island, and enjoyed them much more than Honua Kai. The room/unit itself was ok - size was good, and it had a well-stocked kitchen. The unit overall could use a refresh, furniture was worn down, large hole in the couch (as mentioned in other reviews), and overall just seems a little old/rundown. The property manager was very accommodating and her communication was good....

"We absolutely loved this unit. After a 6 hour flight and several more hours waiting for bags, getting groceries and driving from the airport, we couldn’t have asked for a better condo. Traveling with a 7 month old and 10 year old is not always easy and as soon as we opened the door we felt right at home. The staff waiting the pool area were so nice and quick with orders and attending every 30 minutes to ensure we were happy. The customer service is phenomenal! The Hyatt is outstanding and our go to for the future! "
