The COVID-19 pandemic has changed how we travel, but it hasn't dampened our enthusiasm for exploring. Here are a few tips on how to handle the new challenges of travelling:

• Research if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before booking anything. Also check if there are any special conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as mandatory quarantining.
• Keep your face mask on even during airport screening. A TSA officer will ask you to adjust your mask for identification purposes.
• Do not hand your boarding pass (paper or electronic) directly to a TSA officer. Rather, you should place the pass on the scanner and then hold it up for inspection.
• One container of liquid hand sanitizer is now permitted in your carry-on luggage. It must not be larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to remove it from your bag at the X-ray machine for scanning.
• To reduce handling during screening, place items such as your keys, wallet, phone and belt into your carry-on rather than into the bins.
• Separate any food you have for screening. Putting it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA agent to touch and inspect your belongings.
