Breakfast was really incredible and the view from the hotel is absolutely stunning. All of the staff was very nice. We loved the hotel and it is definitely worth the walk up the hill to be out of town and be able to see the Alps

We adored our 6 night stay here. The staff are welcoming, and so helpful. The small touches like a welcome drink, branded items, the honesty bar, walking poles, umbrellas, and blankets help to create such an easy and lovely atmosphere for guests. The interior design of the hotel is outstanding… every tiny item has clearly been sourced to be in keeping with their vintage 20th century feel. Breakfast was amazing; the breads, cheese, etc were high quality and fresh, along with all the items. The option of cooked eggs each morning was perfect. We had a panoramic balcony room and though the room is small, the view is absolutely unbelievable. Without a doubt the best view from a hotel room I’ve ever had. We are already talking about our next trip.

We had spent an amazing and memorable time at Alpenruhe. The staff members were so kind, friendly, helpful & made us feel welcomed. They went out of their way to pick us up and drop us off at Wengen train station! The location is on point. Waking up everyday to the snow capped alps peaking through our balcony, what else could we have asked for our honeymoon 😊 Breakfast was really good too. The owners are so kind we even had a parting gift from them. Highly recommended!

The property is situated at a quiet location and is accessible via a long walk from the station or in-house shuttle transport. The staff members are extremely friendly and helpful towards guest. The breakfast service is very good with its selection and quality. The only drawback was the extra price paid for the view was blocked for development cranes thus ruining the view.

What a wonderful stay in Wengen. The hosts were kind, professional and warm. The room was what we needed. It was perfect for 2. The view was amazing and such a great location. We were thrilled. We moved on Murren for the night and wish we had stayed here again.

It’s a hidden gem!

This was a cute place with tremendous 360 views of the whole area. The room was small but very comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty and complete with meats, cheeses, fresh bread, yogurt and lots else, even eggs and coffee made to order. We stayed 3 days and felt totally at home! There is about a ten minute uphill walk from the station but the hotel manager will pick you up or drop you off if requested, which we did on the last day because of rain. It was just perfect!

Nice staff, friendly and accommodating. The room so small I bumped my knees several times. I’m also tall, lol. The bed/mattress and pillows were uncomfortable I’m left me with a neck and shoulder ache for days; I’m a side sleeper. Great view though! Oh and no soy milk, had to bring my own. They have oat milk if you’re lactose intolerant.

The Alphenruhe was very nice. We loved the couple who runs the hotel. Yanna and Andreas, (spelling ?). The breakfast was very good. You can get fresh eggs made. The room was very clean. The bed very comfortable. We had a room with a balcony which was great. Its walkable to the train depending on your ability. It is about a 7 minute walk but part is up hill.

Location: Enjoyed the small town atmosphere away from the crowds of other towns in the area. Offords easy access to mountain adventures via cable car and cog trains. More than enough restaurants to try over several days. Staff: Wonderful! Friendly and helpful. The hotel is small so you see the same staff each day, which was a pleasure. They prepare a nice breakfast. Room: We had a superior view with balcony and took advantage of it each evening. The higher floors offer a view of the valley below. There is currently construction that obscures the view a bit but did not bother us during the stay. I would recommend purchasingvthe Jungfrau Pass if you are stayingbin the area for several day. Well worth it as we used gondolas and train multiple times per day. I would stay here again.
